Sept. 8, 1:05 a.m., Wasilla: Kazuko Y. Lewis-Warner, 32, Wasilla, stopped on a complaint from the public. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 8, 6:49 p.m., Shampine Rd.: Bojack M. Martin, 24, Wasilla, failed to stop at Alvins Alley and left the road. He was not hurt. His 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier was totaled. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 9, 4:18 a.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. and Settlers Bay Dr.: Timothy D. Stires, 31, Wasilla, contacted after he’d driven into the ditch. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 9, 1:04 p.m., Seldon Rd. near Lucille Rd.: Deette Pike, 43, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 12, 2:11 a.m., Mile 9 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Mark A. Schwulst, 51, Wasilla, stopped on a complaint from the public. Charges: DUI, DWLR, driving without an ignition interlock device. Bail: $6,000.

Sept. 12, 1:53 a.m., Big Lake Rd. near Wasey Wy.: Brian W. Berean, 24, Big Lake, riding a 4-wheeler, didn’t immediately stop for troopers. Charges: DUI, eluding arrest, DWLC. Bail: $7,500.

Sept. 14, 1:28 a.m., Wasilla: B. Sebesta, 35, Wasilla, stopped for moving and equipment violations. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 14, 3:18 a.m., Mile 51 Parks Hwy.: Crystal J. Langford, 38, Wasilla, contacted having driven into the ditch. Charges: DUI-drugs, DWLR. Bail: $1,500.

Sept. 15, 2:57 a.m., Seldon Rd. near Lucille St.: Austin B. Jensen, 31, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $1,000.

Sept. 15, 11:13 p.m.: Philip Waisanen, 29, Eagle River, contacted after he drove into a ditch. Charge: DUI-drugs. Bail: $500.

Sept. 17, 2:19 a.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Duane R. Ploog, 35, Wasilla, stopped for running a stop sign and erratic driving. During the traffic stop, Ploog head-butted a gas grill causing $250 damage. Charges: DUI, criminal mischief. Bail: $500.

Sept. 19, 3:20 a.m., Mile 46 Parks Hwy.: Kenneth Mayo, 31, Wasilla, stopped for erratic driving. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 19, 9:49 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and 49th State St.: Chastity A. Koford, 34, Palmer, arrested for DUI and open container. Bail: $500.

Sept., 19, 5:21 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Big Lake Rd.: Sydney C. Blunt, 58, Anchorage, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 20, 4:06 a.m., Palmer: Mitchell L. Kleewein, 34, Wasilla, stopped for a traffic violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $2,500.

Sept. 20, 3:34 p.m., Mile 48 Parks Hwy.: William Langevin III, 40, Wasilla, arrested during a disturbance. Charge: DUI. Bail: $5,000.

ACCIDENTS

Sept. 6, 1:18 p.m., Mile 50 Parks Hwy.: A 14-year-old Wasilla boy was southbound on an ATV when he hit Wayne Varney, 43, Big Lake, who was exiting a parking lot driving a Chevrolet van. The teen was flown to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Varney was also hospitalized.

Sept. 6, 10:04 p.m., Mile 67 Glenn Hwy.: Tracy Spain, 41, Chickaloon, southbound driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, hit a moose. Spain hospitalized. Moose salvaged by a local charity.

Sept. 7, 1:34 p.m., Mile 9 Wasilla-Fishhook Rd.: Crystal Dorscher, 27, Wasilla, lost control on a curve and drove her motorcycle off the road and onto an ATV trail. She was hospitalized.

Sept. 8, 2 p.m., Old Glenn Hwy. and Our Rd.: Anthony P. Draino, 25, Palmer, southbound when a northbound SUV entered his lane. He avoided a crash but failed to negotiate a bend in the road. He was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. His vehicle was totaled.

Sept. 10, 7:10 p.m., Northshore Dr.: Garrett Hooper, 48, Big Lake, lost control of his Subaru station wagon which left the road and came to a rest on its roof. Hooper hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Sept. 13, 12:45 a.m., Mile 7.3 Old Glenn Hwy.: Nicole M. Kiana, 25, Anchorage, northbound driving a blue 2005 Subaru sedan, lost control going around a curve and rolled into a ditch. No injuries. Subaru totaled.

Sept. 14, 3:40 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. near Begich Rd.: Terri Ann Dunn, 61, Palmer, rear-ended a 16-year-old Wasilla girl, who in turn rear-ended Raymond G. Lewis, 54, Palmer. Dunn had minor injuries. The teen’s 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier was towed from the scene.

Sept. 14, 3 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Strider Dr.: Amanda Sidders, 21, Wasilla, westbound in a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, was rear-ended by a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by Bonnie Feakes, 62, Palmer. Feakes was then herself rear-ended by a 2006 Pontiac G6 driven by Sarah Pennington, 27, Wasilla. Feakes was hospitalized. Each vehicle sustained more than $2,000 damage. Feakes cited for not exercising due care.

Sept. 15, 10:40 p.m., Mile 51 Parks Hwy.: Sawyer Graber, 21, Willow, northbound in a 1992 Ford Explorer, allegedly failed to yield to a northbound 1994 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Shawn Schmidt and rear-ended it. No injuries. Graber cited for not exercising due care. Schmidt cited for lacking proof of insurance. Both vehicles were totaled.

Sept. 16, 4:25 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Ranch Rd.: A 17-year-old Palmer girl driving her 1998 Isuzu Trooper, rear-ended a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeanne A. Borega, 62, Wasilla. Damage to both vehicles; $500. No injuries.

Sept. 17, 4:51 p.m., Schrock Rd. near Church Rd.: A 14-year-old Wasilla boy driving his ATV on a trail drove into the road to avoid a driveway and was hit by a vehicle driven by Elise Whitney, 34, Wasilla. The teen had minor injuries. ATV damage: $1,000. Teen cited for driving in the road.

Sept. 17, 5:35 p.m., Wasilla-Fishhook Rd. and Big Rock Rd.: Steven Hensley, 20, Palmer, allegedly ran a stop sign and was hit by Courtney Bond, 27, Wasilla, then went into a ditch, and rolled. Hensley’s damage: $1,500. Bond’s damage; $1,000. No injuries. Hensley issued a summons for DWLS and no insurance and cited for running a stop sign and expired registration. One of Hensley’s passengers was cited for not wearing a seatbelt.

Sept. 19, 11:10 a.m., Bogard Rd. and Engstrom Rd.: Loriann K. Haynes, 36, Wasilla, rolled her 2005 Ford Freestyle into the eastbound ditch after she became distracted looking for cigarettes on the floorboard. Minor injuries. Ford totaled.

Sept. 19, 1:04 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. near Shenandoah Dr.: Rachel C. Rennack-Janneck, eastbound in her 1993 Chevrolet Suburban. Autumn Tetlow, 18, Wasilla, parked in her 2005 Dodge Stratus on the shoulder in front of Rennack-Janneck, decided to turn left and was struck. Damage to the Dodge: $1,000. Damage to the Chevrolet: $2,000. The Suburban was driveable. The Dodge was not. Tetlow hospitalized for evaluation. Rennack-Janneck and her two children – ages 4 and 6 – were not hurt. Tetlow cited for lacking proof of insurance.

Sept. 12, 9:02 p.m., Mile 15.5 Point MacKenzie Rd.: Amber L. Voorhis, 30, Wasilla, cited for shooting from the road.

WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS

Sept. 7, Buffalo Mine Rd.: Thomas H. Norbert, 38, Anchorage, cited for taking an illegal bull moose.

Sept. 7, Big Lake: Douglas Scholberg, 49, Wasilla, cited for buying a low-income fishing, hunting and trapping license when he didn’t qualify.

Sept. 8, East fork of Boulder Creek: Nathan D. Gubser, 26, Chugiak, cited for taking a sub-legal bull moose.

Sept. 9, Willow: Feodora Martusheff, 36, Wasilla, cited for not validating her harvest ticket after taking a moose.

Sept. 11, Susitna River at the Deshka River: Thomas Odell cited for not immediately validating his moose harvest ticket.

Sept. 11, Little Susitna River upstream from Schrock Rd.: Henryk Koscik, 45, Anchorage, cited for using bait where prohibited.

Sept. 12, Jim Creek: Joshua J. Souder, 18, Palmer, cited for fishing without a license.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Sept. 8, 10:12 a.m.: A 17-year-old boy was reported missing. He was found to have stayed the weekend at a friend’s house, staying out past his court-ordered curfew and skipping school on Monday in violation of his parole. Charge: Probation violation.

Sept. 15, 12:01 a.m., Mile 45.5 Parks Hwy.: Shawn M. Nagle, 25, Wasilla, stopped for speeding, allegedly falsely identified himself. Charge: DWLS, false information, hindering prosecution, violating probation. Bail: $1,000. Charges are pending against passenger Lorelle B. Szybnski, 20, Wasilla, who allegedly also attempted to falsely identify Nagle.

TRESPASSING

Sept. 15, 11:18 a.m., Mile 49 Parks Hwy.: Mark Day, 41, Wasilla, stopped during a disturbance investigation. Charge: Trespassing. Jailed until released on his own recognizance.

NVOL

Sept. 8, 6:40 p.m., Schrock Rd. and Shadow Dr.: Carrie Mace, 47, Eagle river, stopped for speeding. Summons: NVOL. Citation: Speeding.

Sept. 17, 1:10 a.m., Wasilla: Diane K. Dragovich, 48, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Summons: NVOL.

THEFT

Sept. 7, 6:49 a.m., Big Lake Tesoro station: A 1985 KTM 350 MXZ off-road motorcycle was stolen between 10 p.m. Sept. 6 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 7. Loss: $1,500.

Sept. 10, 7:25 a.m., Schrock Rd. riverbed: Johnathon Kelsey, 22, Wasilla, said he attended a party and when he awoke his $4,000 gray 1999 Lincoln Continental was missing.

Sept. 10, 7:46 a.m., Wasilla: A business was broken into on two separate occasions, first on Sept. 6 and again Sept. 10. Loss: $900 in tools. Damage: $800.

Sept. 12, 8:14 p.m., Beaver Lake Rd.: Someone broke into a building by breaking a window and stole $10,000 worth of equipment. Damage: $300.

Sept. 17, 5 p.m., Rian Ave.: A 32-year-old Wasilla man reported someone broke into his home between 9 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. and stole an Xbox 360 and a Sony Viao laptop.

Sept. 18, 3:30 p.m., Trapper Creek Store: An Olympus digital camera, a pair of black Swarovski binoculars and a blue EMS response bag were stolen from a vehicle. Loss: $600.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Sept. 7, 9:30 p.m., McMillian Ct.: Mary C. Darling, 93, Wasilla, found to have died of natural causes.

Sept. 18, 3:04 a.m., Big Lake: Linda C. Backlin, 67, Big Lake, found to have died of natural causes.

Sept. 19, 12:17 p.m., Bruce Wy.: Richard Giles, 53, Houston, found to have died of natural causes.

Sept. 19, 6:30 p.m., E. Tern Dr.: Margrit Imhof, 70, Palmer, found to have died of natural causes.

ASSAULT

Sept. 7, 7:55 p.m., Meadow Lakes Rd.: Jason Tenderella, 33, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member and did $300 in property damage. Charges: Domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal mischief. No bail set.

Sept. 13, 1:15 p.m., Wasilla: Thomas Alakayak, 24, Wasilla, arrested for domestic violence assault. No bail set.

Sept. 18, 2:10 p.m., Overby St.: Michael A. Crawley, 23, Wasilla, allegedly did extensive damage to a family member’s vehicle. He was allegedly uncooperative and assaulted the trooper arresting him. Charges: Criminal mischief, assaulting an officer, resisting arrest. No bail set. 

VANDALISM

Sept. 19, 12:15 a.m.: Lawrence W. Berzanske, 47, Wasilla, arrested for a Sept. 7 incident in which he allegedly struck his wife’s vehicle on Pike Rd., doing  $6,000 damage, then fled. Charge: Domestic violence criminal mischief. No bail set.

 

DRUG MISCONDUCT

Sept. 19, 10:29 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Irwin Lp.: Tanya Jensen, 35, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: Marijuana possession.
