ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

ACCIDENTS

Sept. 24, 4:10 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Columbus Wy.: Ryan S. Carter, 20, Wasilla, westbound driving a 1993 Chevrolet pickup, rear-ended a 2007 Hyundai SUV driven by Erin L. Lamb, 45, Palmer. Carter cited for not exercising due care. Damage to both vehicles: $500. No injuries.

Sept. 26, 3:33 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Pittman Rd.: Jeanette Hoekzema, 37, Wasilla, lost control of her 1980 Chevrolet Blazer and hit Heather Wolcoff, 41, Wasilla, who was driving a 2005 Chevrolet van. No injuries. Hoekzema cited for not exercising due care and no proof of insurance and issued a summons for having the improper plates displayed on her vehicle. Damage: $3,000.

DUI

Sept. 24, 10:08 p.m., Wasilla: Ralph Souder, 40, Wasilla, stopped for multiple traffic violations. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 26, 3:33 a.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. near Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Donald J. Demaster, 26, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Sept. 27, 2:14 p.m. Mile 48 Parks Hwy.: Deborah G. Carlson-Johnson, 50, Wasilla, stopped for reckless driving. Charge: DUI-prescription medication. Bail: $500.

Sept. 24, 11:50 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Timothy Bates, 22, Big Lake, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLR.

THEFT

Sept. 24, 8:30 p.m., Overview Cir.: Someone forced open a back door and stole two orange GT mountain bikes, a Celestron telescope and a Bumbleride stroller. Loss: $15,000.

Sept. 27, 5:06 p.m., Mile 59 Glenn Hwy.: Douglas C. Jones, 22, stopped for speeding. Summons: DWLS.

VIOLATING A PROTECTIVE ORDER

Sept. 24, 8:12 p.m., Wasilla; Bryson E. Mceneaney, 22, Wasilla, arrested for violating a domestic violence protective order. No bail set.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Sept. 25, 7:51 p.m., Mcdowell Rd.: Shanyne D. David, 44, arrested for violating his probation and providing false information. No bail set.

NVOL

Sept. 26, 5:57 a.m., Parks Hwy. near Church Rd.: A Wasilla 16-year-old was stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: NVOL. Passenger Mathieu Dubeau, 22, Willow, issued a summons for allowing an unauthorized person to drive.

ASSAULT

Sept. 27, 10:08 a.m., South Village St.: Rosemary Berdi, 34, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member and damaged $30 in property. Charges: Assault, criminal mischief. No bail set.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Sept. 27, 11:33 a.m., Hemmer Rd.: Johnnie Cook, 78, Palmer, found to have died of natural causes.

Sept. 21, 7:31 a.m.: Peder Espeseth, 64, Wasilla, found to have died of natural causes.

Sept. 22, 8:26 a.m., Wasilla Senior complex: Ruth Conrad, 86, Wasilla, found to have died of natural causes.

ACCIDENTS

Sept. 21, 3:33 p.m., Post Office parking lot: A boy backed into a vehicle driven by Karen Mitchell, 43, Wasilla. Damage was minor.

Sept. 22, 10:40 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Trunk Rd.: Jennifer Kuentzel, 50, Wasilla, hit a moose. No human injuries. Moose donated to charity.

Sept. 24, 2:17 p.m., Parks Hwy. near Church Rd.: A Big Lake woman was westbound when she rear-ended a pickup driven by another Big Lake resident. No injuries. Damage moderate.

Sept. 24, 9:16, 9;16 p.m., Wasilla-Fishhook Rd.: A Wasilla resident hit a moose. The driver was unhurt.

DUI

Sept. 22, 8:26 a.m., Parks Hwy.: Jerome Jones, 39, Wasilla, stopped on a complaint from the public. Charge: DUI. Bail: $2,500.

RUNAWAY

Sept. 22, 1:06 p.m.: A woman reported her 17-year-old daughter had run away from home. The daughter was last seen at 9:30 p.m. the night before.

WARRANTS

Sept. 22, 4:23 p.m., Fred Meyer: Justin Dolan, 18, Eagle River, stopped for allegedly shoplifting, arrested on trooper warrants for nine counts of theft and one each of fraud and criminal impersonation. Bail: $3,000.

Sept. 24, 5:21 a.m., Lone Cub Dr.: Angela Nelson, 18, Wasilla, contacted after a showing up drunk at a complainant’s apartment, arrested on warrant for failure to comply with alcohol screening and failure to appear in court. New charge: Underage drinking. Bail: $250.

DRUGS

Sept. 22, 11:47 p.m., Holiday gas station: Police investigating a suspicious person issued a summons to Josie Harvey, 20, Anchorage, for marijuana possession.

THEFT

Sept. 23, 10:13 a.m., Carrs: A Wasilla 46-year-old reported someone walked out of the store with two courts of Pennzoil worth $7 and left in a red pickup with Alaska plates FES154.

Sept. 22, 3:59 p.m., Evangelo’s: Whitney Kinsey, 22, Wasilla, allegedly stole cash from the register. Theft charges are being sent to the district attorney.

Sept. 24, 8:48 a.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. Ext.: A person reported that sometime during the night someone stole 100 gallons worth of diesel fuel from a job site.

UNDERAGE DRINKING

Sept. 24, 4:42 a.m., Lone Cub Dr.: Police investigating a disturbance found no disturbance but cited Angela Bouslaugh, 20, Wasilla, for underage drinking.

DRIVING ON AN INSTRUCTIONAL PERMIT

Sept. 24, 4:33 p.m.: A 17-year-old Wasilla boy was stopped on a complaint from the public. Summons: Driving on an instructional permit.
