 ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

VIOLATING RELEASE CONDITIONS

Oct. 11, 11:30 p.m., Via Tranquilla Dr.: Brandy Sebesta, 35, Wasilla, arrested for violating release conditions on a DUI charge. Bail: $1,000.

DUI

Oct. 11, 4:03 p.m., Big Lake Rd. and Parks Hwy.: Grady A. Loyd, 34, Wasilla, said he was at the scene of an accident to check on one of the drivers. Charge: DUI. Bail: $2,500.

Oct. 11, 4:03 p.m., Big Lake Rd.: Pennie P. Serfling, 49, Houston, failed to stop, driving a 2000 Ford Explorer and hit Kasheena L. Radner, 36, Big Lake, who was driving a blue 1995 Chevrolet Astro van, which then hit Anna B. Philo, 69, who was driving a blue 1997 Honda CRV. Radner and one of her five passenger were hospitalized. Serfling was arrested for DUI, assault, reckless endangerment and reckless driving. Bail: $2,500. Total damages: $7,000.

ASSAULT

Oct. 11, 5:45 p.m., Copper Creek Rd.: Christina F. Ramirez-Carey-Olson, 38, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member. Charge: Domestic violence assault. No bail set.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Oct. 12, 3:13 p.m., N. Squire Dr.: Jack Welsh, 74, Houston, found unresponsive and not breathing. He was found to have died of natural causes.

ACCIDENT

Oct. 13, 2:39 p.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. and Clapp Rd.: Lori Edwards, 38, Wasilla and Laura Walls, 27, Wasilla, were in a wreck. Edwards allegedly turned in front of Walls. Edwards was hospitalized with possible injuries. Damage: $10,000. Edwards cited for not exercising due care.

Oct. 13, 7 p.m., Glenn Hwy.: Matthew Blum, 25, Wasilla, northbound driving a 2007 Toyota Tundra, hit a 2000 Ford Explorer driven by Christopher Worland. Blum allegedly fled the scene, driving 100 mph, weaving in and out of traffic. Charges: reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident. Bail: $7,500.

THEFT

Oct. 14, 11:01 a.m., Totem Rd.: Someone broke into a home through the front door doing $250 damage and stole flat screen televisions, computers and cameras.

WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

THEFT

Oct. 7, 9:14 a.m.: A woman reported someone got into her locked car and stole a camera, checkbook and an MP3 player. Loss: $1,100.

Oct. 8, 2:10 p.m., Stoneridge Cir.: A man reported that someone stole the heating system and pressure tank from a home he was building.

Oct. 8, 6:50 p.m., Fred Meyer: Kimberly Dugan, 24, Eagle River, allegedly shoplifted almost $300 worth of jewelry. She was arrested on theft charges.

Oct. 11, 2 p.m.: A woman reported her purse had been stolen and checks had been written at Wal-Mart.

ACCIDENTS

Oct. 7, 6:17 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. in front of Walgreens: A Chugiak driver collided with a Willow resident who failed to yield turning onto the highway. The Willow resident was cited.

On Oct. 8, 6:20 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Vine Rd.: Police responded to a two-vehicle collision with injuries.

Oct. 9, 12:11 a.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Roberts St.: Police responded to an accident. Damage to both vehicles was $6,000. No injuries.

Oct. 11, 5:40 p.m., Mile 2 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Someone hit a moose and was hospitalized. The moose was donated to charity.

VIOLATING RELEASE CONDITIONS

Oct. 9, 5:45 p.m.: Robert Gregg, 34, Wasilla, arrested for violating his release conditions. Bail: $1,000.

ASSAULT

Oct. 10, 12:01 a.m., Mug-Shot Saloon: Kenneth Duby, 42, arrested for assault for cutting a bar patron with a knife.

RUNAWAY

Oct. 10, 2:27 a.m.: A man reported his 17-year-old son — 125 pounds, 6 feet tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans — had run away and was believed to be heading toward Palmer.

PROTECTIVE ORDER VIOLATION

Oct. 11, 1:30 p.m.: Lance Hall, 37, Palmer, allegedly violated a stalking order by making contact with the petitioner.

FOUND PROEPRTY

Oct. 9, 9:49 a.m.: An anonymous woman turned in a black daypack found near Lucille St. Attempts to contact the owner have been unsuccessful.

Oct. 9, 3:27 p.m.: Someone turned in a bicycle that had been found at the skate park.

Oct. 13, Home Depot: Staff reported finding a bicycle. Police put it into safekeeping.

DRUGS

Oct. 12, 8:44 a.m., Wasilla Middle School: One of the students was found in possession of drugs. A report will be sent to Juvenile Justice.

WARRANT

Oct. 12, 4:45 p.m.: Kloiah Wayland, 21, Wasilla, arrested at a traffic stop on $2,000 warrant for failure to comply with probation conditions.

DWLS

Oct. 13, 3:32 p.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. and E. Frank Smith Wy.: Christopher Conley, 26, Wasilla, stopped for reckless driving. Summons: DWLS.

ELUDING ARREST

Oct. 14, 6:47 p.m.: Police tried to stop a Polaris Razer for reckless driving and were led on a short pursuit. Joseph Erie, 18, Wasilla, was arrested for felony eluding and reckless driving.

DUI

Oct. 14, 10:25 p.m.: Clen Leggett, 32, Wasilla, stopped for speeding. Charges: DUI, DWLS, violating release conditions.
