Mary Catherine Hunter, 82, died Nov. 4 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer of natural causes.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Keel’s Chapel in Anchorage.

Mary was born Aug. 12, 1927 in Indianapolis, Ind. She became a resident of Alaska in the summer of 1959 and resided in Anchorage. Mary was a homemaker and a long time active member of Women of the Moose Chapter 139. She enjoyed sewing and crafting. Mary always did crafts, and could turn trash into treasure. People were interested in what new clever thing she would make. She loved to sew and made a lot of her daughter’s clothes while she was growing up. Mary had a kind heart and she reached out to people who were in need. Her grandchildren said they will miss “Grandma spoiling them.” We love her very much.

She is survived by her daughter Mary K. Reindl, and grandchildren Ian and Marinade Reindl.

Arrangements were entrusted to Legacy Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Kehl’s Palmer Chapel.
