Cindy Lee Olson

Anchorage resident Cindy Lee Olson (Brhel), 48, died Nov. 14, 2009, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E St., Anchorage, on Nov. 21 at 2 p.m.

Cindy was born on April 2, 1961 in Johnson City, N.Y., and moved to Anchorage in 1969.

Her family wrote: “Cindy will be missed by all who loved her. She was not only a loving mother to her two sons, but a mother to anyone in need. She tirelessly worked as an advocate for all special needs children. Her loss in this community will be great.”

She is survived by her sons Patrick and Billy Olson, husband David Olson, special companion Bert Hahn, sisters Pat Brhel and Rose Beardsly and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Leona Brhel; father Jerry Brhel Sr.; brother Jerry Brhel Jr.; and sister Carol Somerville.
