To the editor:

Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue (ADPR) would like to offer thanks to the many businesses and individuals that donated items and gift certificates for our Evening of Auctions on Nov. 7 at the Wasilla sports complex.

This event was ADPR’s fifth annual auction benefiting our spay and neuter program. We spay and neuter all our dogs and puppies before they are made available for adoption to the public. In addition, ADPR sponsors low-cost spay and neuter clinics on a monthly basis. It has been the support of the business community and our many volunteers that has helped make this possible.

ADPR extends a heartfelt thank you to the following businesses and individuals: A Better Cut, The Alaska Club, Alaska Midnite Scents, The Alaska Railroad, Debbie Imhof of Alaska TLC Kennels, Alaska Wild Berry Products, Artworks Gallery and Glass Studio, Aurora Beads and Craft, Claudia Sihler of Better Companion, Carrs/Safeway, Claire Vera, Colony Inn, Curves, The Gallery, The Garden Gate, Gutierrez Photography, Great Harvest Bread Co., Imagine It Toys, Wanda Ivy, Jenny Howe, Steve Durand, Karla Morreira of Whalebone Watercolors, Kaladi Brothers, K2 Aviation, Mad Matter, Mat-Su Cinema, Papa Murphy’s, Paradise Tanning, Radio Shack, Regis Salons, RW’s Hamburger House, Sarah Mayfield, Scoops Ice Cream and Fun, SideKicks, Slack’s Sugar Shack, Spa Country, Stamp Cache, Stampin Moose, Target, Valley Hotel, Donna VanHyning, Verda’s Cakes, Vickie McCoy and Walden Book Store, and Walgreens. ADPR also wishes to thank the many volunteers who made the auction both an enjoyable and successful event.

There are many additional opportunities available for volunteers throughout the year. Please contact ADPR at 745-7030 or adpr03@yahoo.com to learn more about how you can help. Give a paw a hand!
