Do you have or work with children? APU is building a Children’s Garden at the Spring Creek Farm 3 miles N of Downtown Palmer for the community of Palmer.
We want your input! Come join us to offer your ideas for an outstanding children’s garden!

| Beginning Taekwondo Kid's Class |
Children's Classes are designed for children, ages 3 to 13, with litte or no experience in Taekwondo. Classes are Tuesday to Thursday, 5pm -6pm. New to Taekwondo? Come by for a Free Trial Class!
Each student will learn Taekwondo foot and hand techniques, self-defense, and traditional Poomse. Physical conditioning is integral in every class. Each student will also study the mental aspects of Taekwondo such as self-discipline, self-confidence, team work, and positive attitudes.

| Annual Shopping Event at Lyda and Curtis Green's House |

Lyda opens her house, annually, to local vendors to sell their wares. Jewelry, sewn items, homemade products abound!! This event is sponsored by the Mat-Valley Republican Women's Club. The public is invited to attend and shop locally for Christmas.

| String Jamboree |
The Matanuska Susitna Orchestra announces our Fifth Annual String Jamboree, an hour-long program that combines approximately 100 students of Mat Valley string teachers, and the Matanuska Susitna Orchestra.
The String Jamboree combines students of Mat Valley string teachers in an hour-long program. The first half of the program will feature all the students playing together in a large ensemble with their string instructors. The second half of the program will feature the Matanuska Susitna Orchestra with the more experienced students included, performing more advanced pieces.
The program will include audience participation during one of the pieces.
The Grand Finale will include all musicians.
The goal of this project is to allow students, families and friends to hear the rich and full sound that 100 or so performers can produce, and to allow musicians to experience playing in a string orchestra at a very young age. It is an amazing experience!

This Girls-Night-Out event is a fresh combination of a traditional arts and crafts show, blended with fun Make & Take projects you can create.
Admission to the event is free, and there will also be free demonstrations and door prize drawings.
