• Contest Definition. Trim to Win is a weight loss contest (the “Contest”) sponsored by Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, AT&T Sports Center, Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and Mat Su Health Foundation (referred to herein as “Sponsors”). There is no purchase necessary to enter or win the Contest or win. The object of the Contest is to lose the greatest percentage of weight during Contest period through diet and exercise. Participants may not undergo medical procedures, such as liposuction or bariatric surgery, during contest period.
• Eligibility. To enter, you must be eighteen (18) years of age or over and be a legal resident of the Mat-Su Valley, Alaska. Employees of the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, and said employees’ immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
• How to Enter. Registration forms are available at the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, AT&T Sports Center, or online at www.frontiersman.com. Completed registration forms must be received by 5:00pm January 24, 2009 at the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, 5751 E. Mayflower Ct., Wasilla, AK 99654 or AT&T Sports Center, 1507 N. Double B St., Palmer, AK 99645. Sponsors are not responsible for delayed or late mail. Registration forms will also be available at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center Urgent Care facility January 19-24, 2009 during weigh-in times only.
• Contest Period. Contest begins January 26, 2009 and ends April 24, 2009.
• Judging the Contest. Contest will be judged on greatest percentage of weight loss during contest period. All participants must weigh in at the AT&T Sports Center, or at Mat Su Regional Medical Center Urgent Care Clinic. Photo ID will be required, and contestant agrees to have photo taken at starting and ending weigh in. Starting weight must be certified no later than January 24, 2009. Contestants must then weigh at Contest ending date on April 24, 2009 on the same scale as starting weight was obtained.
• Prize Pool. First place winner will receive $3,000 cash. Second place winner will receive $2,000 cash. Third place winner will receive $1,000 cash. All Federal, State and Local laws and regulations apply. The winners will be responsible for all Federal, State or other applicable taxes in connection with receipt of the prize, respectively.
• Prize Notification. On or about May 1, 2009 the winners will be notified by telephone or regular mail that they have won or placed in the Contest, and that subject to verification, they have won one of the prizes described above. The winners will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release, an agreement to be bound by these rules and any other information, waivers and releases that may be required.
• General Conditions. By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by the Official Rules, and you agree to release the Sponsors and Affiliates from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in this Contest. Entries or acts that do not comply with the Official Rules will be void and may result in the entrant's ineligibility to participate in this contest. These Official Rules shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alaska. Participants are encouraged to seek medical advice before starting this or any other weight loss program.
