PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

ACCIDENT  
1 Sept. 27, Evergreen Ave. and Rowland Memorial Way: Jewel H. Phillips, 71, Big Lake, driving a 1994 Chevy pickup, hit a 2003 Chevy Equinox being driven by Grace M. Petron, 75, Palmer.
 
ASSAULT
Sept. 26: A 23-year-old Palmer woman was arrested for DV assault.

THEFT
Sept. 27: A 26-year-old Palmer woman reported an item stolen from her home.
 
DWLR
Sept. 28: Walter D. Boyce, 49, Palmer, was arrested for DWLR and violating the conditions of his release. Bail: $500.
Oct. 1: Adam Ryan Davis, 24, Wasilla, was arrested for DWLR. Bail: $250.
 
WARRANT
Sept. 30: Kalie Montana Muren Lewis, 22, Palmer, was arrested on a $250 warrant for FTA in court on a no proof of insurance charge.
 
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
Sept. 30: A 50-year-old Palmer woman reported her vehicle had been tampered with.
 
RUNAWAY
Sept. 30: A 16-year-old Palmer girl reportedly ran away from home.
 
CAT BITE
Oct. 1: A dog belonging to James E. Wagner, III, 30, Palmer, attacked a cat. While attempting to separate the animals, a 10-year-old girl was bitten by the cat. The dog was quarantined at animal control.
 
 
ALASKA STATE TROOPERS
INTERFERING WITH ARREST
Sept. 30, 4 p.m., 10035 N. Bear Den Cir.: Larry Swihart, 49, Wasilla, allegedly tried to interfere as troopers attempted to arrest a suspect in a recent theft from a local business. Swihart allegedly attempted to use physical force against the arresting troopers. Summons: interfering with arrest. Bail: $1,500.
 
DEATH INVESTIGATIONS
Sept. 30, 10:56 a.m., Willow: Ann Marilyn Wyrick, 77, Willow, was found to have died of natural causes. CPR was in progress when troopers were summoned.
Oct. 2, 12:42 p.m., Wasilla: Florence Munroe, 87, Wasilla, was found to have died at home of natural causes two hours prior.
 
ACCIDENT
Sept. 30, 6:15 p.m., Seldon Rd. and Schrock Rd.: A 17-year-old Wasilla girl driving a 1990 Subaru Legacy allegedly ran a stop sign and hit a 1966 Ford Bronco being driven by Steven G. Miller, 49, Palmer. Damage: $5,000 to each vehicle. The teen and a passenger were hospitalized.
 
NVOL
Oct. 1, 1:40 a.m., Lucille St. and Nelson Ave.: Sandra Blix, Wasilla, was stopped for a traffic violation. Summons: NVOL.
Oct. 1, 1:44 p.m., Wasilla: A Wasilla 17-year-old was stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: NVOL. Citation: no proof of insurance.
 
ASSAULT
Oct. 1, 4:35 p.m., Knik River Access off the Old Glenn Hwy.: Aaron M. Sullivan, 23, Anchorage, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend by pointing a gun at her. He also allegedly possessed an illegal shotgun. Charges: assault, MIW. No bail set.
