All information reported in the Police Beat is obtained from police departments’ press releases. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

DUI

Dec. 30, 3:44 a.m., Mile 32.5 Glenn Hwy.: Joseph R. Nadasky, 23, Fort Richardson, was in a vehicle in the ditch, reportedly not responsive. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Jan. 5, 8:11 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Stanley Rd.: Bill Betts, 30, Wasilla, drove into the ditch. Charges: DUI, marijuana possession. Bail: $5,000.

Jan. 6, 3:07 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Highway Three Bears: Michael Bean, 23, Wasilla, was stopped on a complaint from the public. Charge: DUI. Bail: $1,000.

Jan. 7, 3:57 a.m., Wasilla: Nicholas C. Latocha, 21, Wasilla, was arrested for DUI and DWLR. Bail: $750.

Jan. 7, 6:19 a.m., Hollywood Rd. and Shamrock St.: Andrew Scott Luglon, 27, Wasilla, was stopped for equipment violations and allegedly running a stop sign. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Jan. 8, 1:42 a.m., Parks Hwy. near Blondell Dr.: Patrick T. Houston, 49, Chugiak, was stopped for a moving violation. Charges: DWLR, felony DUI. Bail: $5,000 with a CAPTC.

1 Jan. 8, 2:25 a.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. at Railroad Ave.: Anatoliy Malak, 23, Wasilla, was stopped for erratic driving. Charges: felony DUI, felony refusing a chemical test.

Jan. 8, 4:21 a.m., Arctic Ave. and Silver Tip Dr.: Garren Oxholm, 29, Anchorage, was arrested for DUI. Bail: $500.

Jan. 9, 4:45 p.m., Schrock Rd.: Elizabeth Hunter, 46, Wasilla, was stopped on a complaint from the public. Charges: DUI, DWLS. Bail: $500.

NVOL

2 Jan. 7, 12:46 a.m., Wasilla-Fishhook Rd. at Paulson Ave.: Christopher Toves, 19, Wasilla, was stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: NVOL.

Jan. 7, 1:57 a.m., Wasilla: Jordan R. Hausser, 18, Wasilla, was summonsed for NVOL.

PROBATION VIOLATION

3 Jan. 7, 3:15 a.m., Bogard Rd. and Peck St.: Jordan Melton, 26, Wasilla, was stopped for an equipment violation and arrested for an alleged probation violation. No bail set.

ACCIDENTS

Jan. 2, 8:39 p.m., Fairview Lp. and Cotten Dr.: Tiana Thomas, 34, Wasilla, lost control of her white 1989 Jeep Grand Cherokee, left the road and hit a telephone box, significantly damaging the box but doing only minor damage to the Jeep. No injuries.

Jan. 3, 4:10 p.m., Mile 9.5 Old Glenn Hwy.: Joshua W. MacDougal, 21, Palmer, was northbound in his red 2010 Ford pickup when he left the road and hit a culvert. No injuries. Damages: $5,000. No citations.

Jan. 3, 5:25 p.m., Old Glenn Hwy. at S. Bodenburg Lp.: Taylor N. Berry, 24, Wasilla, was northbound in a blue 2006 Chevy Cobalt preparing to make a turn when she was rear-ended by a silver 1999 Saturn four-door driven by Billy G. Vinson II, 33. No injuries. Damage to the Chevy: $1,000. To the Saturn: $3,000. Vinson was cited.

4 Jan. 3, 10 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. near Trent Cir.: Apryll M. Coon, 27, Wasilla, was eastbound when she lost control of her car and left the road. Minor injuries. No property damage. Coon was hospitalized for minor injuries. No citations.

Jan. 3, 8:55 a.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Trunk Rd.: Daryl Bishop, 57, Palmer, was eastbound when he lost control of his pickup, left the road and came to rest on the pickup's left side. He declined medical attention. The pickup was towed.

Jan. 4, 2:53 p.m., Colony High School: Sometime between 7:30 and 11 a.m. someone hit a silver 2008 Mercedes C300 owned by a 42-year-old Palmer woman. The vehicle that hit the Mercedes fled. Damage: $500.

Jan. 4, 3:30 p.m., Bogard Rd. and Earl Dr.: Olivia Massie, 24, Wasilla, driving a red 1988 Audi, was rear-ended by a red 1992 Subaru wagon driven by Gretchen Collier, 49, Wasilla. Total damage to both vehicles: $3,000. Massie was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Jan. 4, 5:24 p.m., Seward Meridian Pkwy. at Meridian Pl.: A 16-year-old Wasilla boy rear-ended a pickup driven by Camilla D. St. George, 22, Wasilla. No injuries. Damage to both vehicles: $500. Both were drivable.

Jan. 4, 5:45 p.m., Church Rd. and Church Ridge Rd.: Christine Moser, 40, Wasilla, driving a 2002 Chevy Silverado, hit a school bus as it was slowing to turn left and driven by Leroy Barber, 68, Wasilla. Moser had been unable to slow down and wound up in the opposite lane, where she hit the bus then caromed into a vehicle driven by Hunter Matlock, 19, Wasilla. No injuries. Vehicles damage was minor.

Jan. 5, 6:45 p.m., Mile 51 Parks Hwy.: Kenneth Trone, 20, Houston, allegedly failed to yield when turning left in his 1995 Dodge pickup and hit a 1998 Plymouth Breeze driven by Jesse Chandler, 29, Wasilla. Vehicle damage was minor. Chandler's passenger was hospitalized with a neck injury.

Jan. 8, 5:44 p.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Diane Conway, 57, Wasilla, driving a white 2000 Mercury Mountaineer, was southbound when she swerved to hit a moose, hit it, then rolled into the ditch. Vehicle damage: $2,000. Conway was hospitalized with minor injuries. The moose was donated to charity.

THEFT

Jan. 7, 3:48 p.m., Burma Landing: Sometime that day or the day before someone pried open the door of an enclosed snowmachine trailer and stole $1,400 worth of stuff.

WARRANTS

Jan. 6, 6 p.m., Raven Cir.: Natalie Glatzhofer, 37, Wasilla, was arrested on a warrant for violating probation on a felony DUI charge. Bail: $2,500.

Jan. 7, 3 p.m., Palmer: Anthony E. Iman, 50, Palmer, was arrested on a warrant out of Washington state. Original charge: escape. No bail set.

Jan. 7, 11:34 p.m., Museum Rd.: Joshua Jenson, 24, Wasilla, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court on a MICS charge. Bail: $10,000.
