Winter Fest

Hillberg Ski Area hosts JBER’s annual holiday festivities from noon to 6 p.m., with ice fishing, snow machining, and free skiing and tubing. Don’t miss out on reindeer, Santa pictures or the gingerbread houses, either.

Christmas Towne

Model railroading

The Military Society of Model Railroad Engineers meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Saturday in the basement of Matanuska Hall. 

Anyone interested in model railroading is invited.

Wildlife Education Center

Learn more about Alaska’s wildlife and natural resources at this free on-base museum,
