PALMER — The Mat-Su Concert Band is set to put on a “spooktaular” set of tunes during their annual fall festival at the Glenn Massay Theater Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m.

“In our minds, fall stands out to a lot of people more so than spring; and I think that fall marks the passage of time better than any other time of year,” Principal Clarinetist and Mat-Su Concert Band board member Drewcilla Holifield said.

This year’s show is called “Frightfully Delightful” and will feature a spooky selection of music gathered from various sources.

The songs selected come from classic numbers from the days of old like ”Danse Macabre” and “March of the Trolls” to medleys from popular movies like the “Harry Potter” series and “Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes for the show. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $5 for students (with student identification). Children under 5 are admitted for free.
