December 25 at 12:23 a.m., MATCOM received a report of a domestic disturbance in Palmer and a shot was heard over an open line. Upon Trooper contact, 35-year-old Joseph Frantz of Palmer opened fire on AST and WPD officers and after receiving medical care at MSRMC, was taken to MSPT on four counts of Attempted Murder 1, three on a LEO and one DV related. AST GIU and the ABI conducted the investigation and ABI has assumed case responsibility. AST Caley Lloyd and WPD Officer Nate Lecours were the two LEO’s who fired their service weapons at Frantz.

December 25 at 8:34 p.m., AST arrested 46-year-old Patrick Russell of California following a reported disturbance on Stanley Drive in Wasilla. Russell was charged with Assault 4 (DV) and Criminal Trespass 1 (DV) and taken to MSPT without bail.

December 26 at 10:46 a.m., AST arrested 36-year-old Lloyd “Cody” Ives of Big Lake on an active warrant. Ives had an warrant for FTA on the O/C of Reckless Driving and was taken to MSPT on $1,00 cash or corporate bail.

December 27 at 5:27 a.m., AST arrested 24-year-old Jesse Snickers of Palmer following a single vehicle rollover near McKechnie Loop in Palmer. Snickers was taken to MSPT on charges of DUI and released O/R.

December 27 at 8:31 p.m., AST attempted to arrest 29-year-old Michael Flores of Wasilla following a reported stabbing on Phenix Avenue in Wasilla. Flores was arrested at 11:30 a.m., on Vine Road in Wasilla on charges of Assault 2 (DV) and Assault 4. Flores was taken to MSPT.

December 28, AST attempted a traffic stop on 23-year-old Gail Nosal of Fairbanks speeding in a gray sedan near mile 57 of the Parks Highway in Wasilla. Another Trooper was able to spike the vehicle near mile 52 of the Parks Highway and the vehicle crashed near mile 48.5 of the Parks Highway. Nosal was accompanied by 22-year-old Ethan Wiehl-Ortiz of Anchorage. Both were taken to MSRMC for medical clearance and later taken to MSPT without bail. Nosal was charged with FTS, DWLR, Theft 2, Reckless Driving and MICS 2, 4 and 5. Wiehl-Ortiz was charged with MICS 2, 4 and 5, two counts of MIW, Theft 2 and VCOR.

December 28 at 4:24 p.m., AST arrested 48-year-old Harold Lemley of Wasilla following a reported disturbance in Wasilla. Lemley was charged with Assault and taken to MSPT.

December 28 at 8:00 p.m., AST arrested 34-year-old Jessie Tessier of Palmer on charges of DUI and two counts of VCOR following a reported disturbance near Juliet Maria Circle in Palmer. Tessier was taken to MSRMC for a blood draw and medical clearance and taken to MSPT without bail.

December 29 at 4:30 p.m., AST arrested Christopher Allchin on an outstanding warrant following a welfare check in Palmer. Allchin had a warrant for FTR on the O/C of DWLR and investigation for MICS is ongoing.

December 29 at 5:45 p.m., AST arrested 26-year-old Quinton Tom of Wasilla on an outstanding FTA warrant on the O/C of DUI and DWLI. Tom was taken to MSPT on $200 bail.

December 29 at 9:53 p.m., AST arrested 57-year-old Wayne Wohlbach of Chugiak for DUI. Wohlback was taken to MSPT and released O/R.

December 30 at 2:38 p.m., AST arrested 22-year-old Hellen Berry of Palmer on charges of Concealment of Merchandise and Theft 4 at Three Bears on Pittman Road in Wasilla. Berry was taken to MSPT and released with a summons.


December 27 at 3:20 p.m., AST issued citations to 52-year-old Michael and Sheila Baldwin of Wasilla on Big Lake for Sport Fishing without a License in Possession.

December 27 at 12:53 p.m., AST issued a citation to 39-year-old Jackson Brown of Anchorage on Big Lake for Fishing without a License in Possession.

December 30 at 4:17 p.m., AWT cited 39-year-old JBER resident Jeremy Holman $120 for Use of Prohibited Bait on Big Lake.
