January 11 at 4:49 p.m., AST in Kodiak received a report of a request for public assistance regarding a theft in Wasilla.

January 11 at 6:37 p.m., Glennallen Troopers arrested 46-year-old Kurtis Micheknham of Copper Center following a report of a dangerous driver near Rose Hip Lane. Mickenham was charged with DUI, cited for an open container and taken to GTP where he was released O/R.

January 11 at 6:55 p.m., AST received a report that a counterfeit $50 was used to purchase food from a restaurant on the Parks Highway.

January 12 at 10:42 a.m., AST arrested 23-year-old Kevin Cooper of Wasilla. Cooper was arrested for Theft 2 and taken to MSPT.

January 12 at 10:13 p.m., Glennallen Troopers arrested 52-year-old Benjamin Skellington of Tonsina at a residence near mile 92 of the Richardson Highway. Skellington was charged with DUI, Refusal and Endangering the Welfare of a Child 1 and taken to GTP.

January 12 at 11:31 p.m., AST arrested 35-year-old Matthew Sanchez following a report that a Wasilla resident had been shot at an apartment. Sanchez was charged with Murder 1, two counts of Assault 3 and MIW 3 and taken to MSPT by AST and WPD.

January 13 at 6:53 p.m., AST arrested 36-year-old Jeremey Schloesser of Fairbanks following a traffic stop on Bogard Road in Wasilla. Schloesser was charged with DUI and taken to MSPT where he was released O/R.

January 13 at 6:47 p.m., AST arrested 19-year-old Kaitlyn Strawser of Palmer following a 911 call to MATCOM dispatch in which a disturbance was heard in the background. Strawser was charged with Assault 4 (DV) and taken to MSPT.

January 11 at 1:30 p.m., AST were notified of female human remains located along the Parks Highway north of Willow. On January 13, the remains were identified as 26-year-old Arnoldine Simone Hill of Hooper Bay. Next of kin have been notified.


January 11 at 6:20 p.m., AWT received a report of an illegal trap in Wasilla. Subsequent investigation resulted in a $270 citation issued to 48-year-old Earl Bragg of Wasilla for trapping without a valid trapping license.


January 9, PPD charged 42-year-old Marvin Kelila of Palmer with DWLR through the DAO.

January 9, PPD arrested 30-year-old Rosebud Sweeney of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 2. Sweeney was taken to MSPT.

January 9, PPD arrested 28-year-old Elijah Boos of Palmer on a $100 FTA warrant on the O/C of DUI. Boos was taken to MSPT.


January 4 at 1:18 a.m., WPD arrested 32-year-old Cody Mitchell of Wasilla at Evangelo’s. Mitchell had an outstanding warrant for FTS and was taken to MSPT.

January 4 at 1:45 p.m., WPD arrested 41-year-old Kelly Madison of Wasilla during a traffic stop. Madison had outstanding warrants for FTA on the O/C’s of four counts of Theft 2. Madison was taken to MSPT.

January 4 at 9:04 p.m., WPD arrested 45-year-old Melissa Santiago of Wasilla at Fred Meyer. Santiago had outstanding warrants for DWLR, DWLS, and DWLC and was taken to MSPT.

January 5 at 12:21 a.m., WPD arrested 19-year-old Geneva Higley of Wasilla following a disturbance near Vaunda Avenue. Higley was charged with Assault 4 (DV) and taken to MSPT.

January 6, WPD arrested 37-year-old Michelle Burris of Wasilla following a Fraud investigation at First National Bank. Burns had a warrant for FTA and was taken to MSPT on $250 cash appearance bail.

January 6 at 12:55 p.m., WPD arrested 36-year-old Brandon Schmid of Wasilla during a welfare check. Schmid had a warrant for FTR on the O/C of DWLR and was taken to MSPT.

January 6 at 9:21 p.m., WPD arrested 36-year-old Jacob Godwin of Wasilla for violation of a DVPO. Godwin was taken to MSPT.

January 6 at 3:41 p.m., WPD arrested 38-year-old Steven Moore of Wasilla following multiple reports of a dangerous driver on Knik-Goose Bay Road. Moore was charged with DUI and taken to MSPT. January 7, WPD arrested 24-year-old Joseph Baehm of Dillingham on an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation. Baehm was taken to MSPT.

January 7 at 1:00 p.m., WPD arrested 43-year-old Rebecca Anderson and 53-year-old Terry Tomlinson of Wasilla. Tomlinson had FTC warrants for Theft 2, MICS 5, DWLR and two counts of Improper display of Registration. Anderson had FTA warrants for DWLR. Tomlinson was taken to MSPT on $550 cash appearance bail and Anderson was taken to MSPT on $250 cash appearance bail.

January 9 at 4:51 a.m., WPD arrested 30-year-old Rosebud Sweeney of Palmer for Trespassing. Sweeney was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespassing 2 and taken to MSPT.

January 10 at 4:52 p.m., WPD arrested 32-year-old Galen Amik of Palmer following a traffic stop. Amik was charged with DUI and taken to MSPT.

January 10 at 12:35 p.m., WPD arrested 33-year-old James Fowner Jr., of Wasilla at Walmart. Fowner was wanted for VCOR and additionally charged with Escape 3 and taken to MSPT.
