Wasilla Police Department
Oct. 30 Wasilla Police responded to a report of a two vehicle collision near the 2200 block of Knik-Goose Bay Road. Investigation found that Thitmaytee Koy, age 29 of Anchorage, had been driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Koy was arrested for DUI and was later released from custody with a criminal summons for DUI with a mandatory court date pending.
Oct. 29 Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Parks Highway and Bella Way. Investigation found the driver, Joey Larson, a 45-year-old Wasilla resident, was operating the vehicle with a revoked drivers license. Larson was issued a summons to court with one count of driving while license revoked and released on his own recognizance per the state bail schedule
Oct. 28 Wasilla Police contacted Alexander Koch, age 32 of Kenai, during a motorist assist. Investigation found that Koch was driving under the influence of an impairing substance (DUI). Koch was arrested and transported to the Wasilla Police Department for DUI processing. Following processing, Koch was released to a third party. Charges have been forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
Oct. 28 Wasilla Police Department responded to the area near Glenwood and Old Matanuska Rd in reference to a disturbance. Officers located a person who had been assaulted on the ground, witnesses indicated the male suspect had fled on foot away from the scene and through the woods. With the assistance of AST and WPD K9 Echo, the male suspect was located during the K9 track and arrested. The suspect male was identified as Brandon Drew, age 22 of Wasilla, he was arrested for Assault 2 DV and his outstanding arrest warrant
Oct. 27 WPD responded to a 2 vehicle collision at the intersection of Wasilla-Fishhook Rd and Spruce Ave. Vehicle 1 was a 2007 silver Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a Sayer Sanders and vehicle 2 was a 1992 red Nissan pickup truck driven by a Dominic Steele. No injuries were reported but officers attempted to conduct a DUI investigation with Dominic. Dominic became uncooperative with officers on scene and was placed under arrest. During the arrest, Dominic resisted arrest and was eventually handcuffed. Dominic then refused to provide a breath sample as required by law once back at the Wasilla Police Department for processing. Dominic was arrested and remanded to Mat Su Pretrial on charges of DUI, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and Resisting Arrest.
Oct. 27 Wasilla Police Department responded to Fred Meyer in reference to a theft. Investigations led to a charge of Theft in the 3rd degree filed on Laura Jackson, age 48 of Wasilla, through the District Attorney’s Office
Oct. 27 Wasilla Police responded to a residence on Fallen Leaf Cir for a report of multiple valuable fur coats being stolen. This investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Wasilla Police Department.
