ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

On July 22, a Palmer Grand Jury indicted 41-year-old Jesse Boswell of Wasilla for seven counts of SAM 2 and one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence following a February 8 report that Boswell was providing marijuana and alcohol to and sexually abusing a minor. Boswell was arrested on $25,000 cash corporate bail and $25,000 cash performance bail.

July 28 at 6:40 a.m., AST received a report that two people stole a blue 2006 Yamaha YFZ 450 ATV from a garage on West Roan Drive in Wasilla valued at $3,000.

July 29 at 5:36 p.m., AST received a report that a 41-year-old male became injured and immobile on Pioneer Peak. The Alaska RCC responded and the hiker was transported to MSRMC for non life threatening injuries.

July 30 at 1:35 p.m., AST arrested 34-year-old Timothy Weston of Wasilla following a report of a dangerous driver on Limberlost Avenue in Wasilla. Weston failed FST’s, provided a BAC sample of .162 and was taken to MSPT. The vehicle was towed and Weston was released O/R.

July 30 at 6:02 p.m., AST arrested 55-year-old Ginger Winter of Homer following a report of a dangerous driver that had gone through a metal gate at the UAF Experimental Farm. Winter failed FST’s and was charged with DUI, Refusal, and a $50 FTA warrant and taken to MSPT where she was released O/R.

July 30 at 6:01 p.m., AST with the CSU arrested 34-year-old Trevor Catterson of Wasilla

following a traffic stop for an equipment violation. Catterson was charged with Theft 2 and taken to MSPT without bail.

July 30 at 6:14 p.m., AST arrested 28-year-old Carla Benedix of Wasilla on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop near the intersection of Hollywood Road and Vine Road in Wasilla. Benedix was taken to MSPT.

July 30 at 7:49 p.m., AST arrested 37-year-old Beverly Griest of Shungak following a reported disturbance near Cardiff Lane in Wasilla. Griest was charged with two counts of VCOR and taken to MSPT without bail.

ALASKA WILDLIFE TROOPERS

July 27, AWT cited 35-year-old Robb Travica of Palmer $220 for Fishing without a License in Possession on the Kenai River.

July 28, AWT cited 28-year-old Isaac Sugimoto of Wasilla $120 for Failure to Record Salmon on the North Kenai Beach.

July 28, AWT cited 34-year-old Terra Schranz of Wasilla $120 for Failure to Record Salmon on the Kenai River.

July 29, AWT on Kenai Beach cited 48-year-old Grigoriy Litvinchuk of Wasilla $220 for Fishing in Closed Waters on the Kenai River.

WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

July 21, WPD arrested 23-year-old Blake Barrett of Wasilla following a single vehicle accident on the Parks Highway. Barrett was charged with DUI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and MIW 4 and taken to MSPT.

July 22 at 7:40 a.m., WPD forwarded charges to the DAO of MIW 5 on 21-year-old Dace Applehans of Wasilla after contacting Applehans disabled vehicle.

July 22 at 4:26 p.m., WPD arrested Melony Green for Criminal Trespass 2 and Disorderly Conduct at Fred Meyer. Green was taken to MPST.

July 23 at 12:22 a.m., WPD responded to the Alaska View Motel for a reported assault and forwarded charges to the DAO on 42-year-old Ernest Stidman of Wasilla for Assault 4 (DV) although Stidman was unable to be located.

July 24 at 5:08 a.m., WPD arrested 42-year-old Joseph Oliver of Big Lake following a report of a dangerous driver leaving Mug Shot Saloon on the Parks Highway. Oliver was charged with Disorderly Conduct and DUI after providing a .221 BAC and taken to MSPT.

July 25 at 12:53 a.m., WPD arrested 38-year-old Justin Sundberg of Wasilla during a traffic stop. Sundberg had an active warrant for MIW 3 and was taken to MSPT.

July 25, WPD arrested 40-year-old Cassandra Heil-Nix of Wasilla after investigating a suspicious vehicle. Heil-Nix was taken to MSPT on charges of DUI and MICS that are being forwarded to the DAO.

July 25 at 11:50 p.m., WPD arrested 31-year-old Matthew Hanshaw of Wasilla after a short pursuit where Hanshaw refused to yield to emergency lights or sirens. Hanshaw was taken to MSPT on charges of FTY.

July 26 at 8:32 a.m., WPD arrested 23-year-old Tyler Baldwin of Wasilla following a report of a dangerous driver. Baldwin was charged with DUI and DWLR and taken to MSPT where he was released O/R.

July 26 at 11:36 a.m., WPD arrested 47-year-old Paul Wardlow of Wasilla following a reported disturbance. Wardlow was charged with Assault 4 and VCOR from a previous Robbery 2 charge and taken to MSPT.
