Alaska State Troopers
Oct. 10 at 10:11 p.m. AST received an anonymous tip regarding a male who had an outstanding Felony warrant in the area of Fox Loop in Big Lake. Investigation revealed Galen Courtright, 40-year-old of Big Lake, was at the residence and had a warrant for violating his conditions of release for the original charge of Assault in the 2nd. Courtright was arrested without incident and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
Oct. 11 at 5:31 p.m. AST responded to a report of a theft at the Park & Ride located at 7450 E Blue Lupine Dr in Palmer. Investigation revealed two male suspects were caught actively breaking into a vehicle and then fled in a maroon Ford Fusion toward Wasilla. A sequin clutch wallet was discovered to have been stolen from the vehicle. Investigation is ongoing. Oct. 11 at 10:22 p.m. AST was notified that Broken S. Koch, age 38, of Wasilla was at a residence on Silver Fox Ln. Broken had a felony warrant for his arrest for escape in the 2nd degree. AST responded to the residence and took Broken into custody. During the arrest Broken was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun. Broken is a convicted felon and is barred from possessing a concealable handgun. Broken was remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was held pending arraignment on the warrant and a new charge of misconduct involving a weapon in the third.
Oct. 11 at 11:24 p.m. AST responded to a report of a domestic violence assault near S Aurora Dr in Wasilla. Investigation revealed Kimberly Short, age 59 of Wasilla, committed the crime of Domestic Violence Assault 4 after a physical altercation with the victim. Short was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility.
Oct. 11 at 12:10 a.m. AST received a tip of two wanted subjects in the area of Westen Dr. in Houston. AST contacted Cole Ward, 30-year-old of Eagle river, hiding in a camper. Investigation revealed Ward had an Outstanding warrant for his arrest with the original charges of Theft in the 2nd, Criminal Mischief in the 5th, and Criminal Trespass in the 1st with bail set at $1,000. Ward was arrested without incident and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
Oct. 10 at 12:10 a.m. AST received a tip of two wanted subjects in the area of Westen Dr. in Houston. AST contacted Marianne Ting, 30-year-old of Big Lake, hiding inside a camper. Investigation revealed Ting had a no bail parole warrant for her arrest for the original charges of two counts of Misconduct involving controlled substances in the second degree, Misconduct involving controlled substances in the third degree, and two counts of Violating condition of release. Ting was arrested without incident and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
Oct. 12 at 12:09 p.m. AST responded to the area of Norman Ave, Palmer in response to an assault in progress. Investigation determined that Kyle Anderson, Age 24 of Palmer, had slammed the victim to the ground and placed his hand on the victim’s neck without impeding breathing. Anderson was placed under arrest for Assault 4 (DV) and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial with no bail.
Oct. 4 at 1:20 p.m. AST responded to a report of a disturbance near S Wrangler Dr in Palmer. Investigation revealed Marc Steele, age 58 of Palmer, had violated his conditions of probation on multiple occasions by initiating unlawful contact, trespassing, and stalking. On Oct. 12 at 3:52 p.m., Steele was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was remanded and held with no bail for two counts of Stalking 1 and Violating Conditions of Release.
Oct. 13 at 5:47 p.m. AST received a report of a disturbance on Phenix Ave and Vine road in Wasilla. AST contacted Molly Ivanoff, age 33 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Molly placed another person in fear of physical injury and damaged property. Molly also has an outstanding arrest warrant for criminal trespass 1. Molly was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was remanded and held without bail.
Oct. 2 at 5:41 p.m. AST responded to a report of a trespass at Three Bears located in Big Lake. Investigation revealed Christina Whitcraft, age 58 of Wasilla, was trespassing on the premises of the property of Three Bears with prior knowledge of being trespassed from all Three Bears. Whitcraft was arrested and issued a misdemeanor summons. Whitcraft was released on her own recognizance.
