ALASKA STATE TROOPERS
October 12 at 8:28 a.m., AST received a report of $8,000 in damage done to a residence near Buttercup Road in Wasilla. The burglars entered one of the victim’s outbuildings and caused the damage while trying to acquire items. The suspects left prior to AST arrival.
October 12 at 11:22 p.m., AST arrested 39-year-old Jessica Dias of Palmer for assaulting someone at North Thor Drive in Palmer. Dias was taken to MSPT without bail.
October 13 at 1:52 p.m., 57-year-old Kenneth Rawson of Houston was contacted by probations officers on King Arthur Drive in Houston VCOR. When Rawson was taken to MSPT he was found to have heroin on his person and was additionally charged with MICS 4 and Promoting Contraband 1. Rawson was held without bail.
October 13 at 4:47 p.m., AST received a report that someone broke in and attempted to steal items at a residence on Verjo Road in Willow.
October 13 at 10:29 p.m., AST arrested 57-year-old Joan Lovell of Wasilla for DUI. Lovell crashed her silver Hyundai SUV on Elsinore Avenue in Wasilla and fled by driving through the yard. AST stopped Lovell and took her to MSPT where she was released once sober.
October 14 at 11:17 p.m., AST arrested 65-year-old Antonio Velasquez of Palmer for DUI. AST stopped Velasquez’ 1996 Ford Econoline for driving without headlights on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway near Trunk Road and was taken to MSPT where he was released O/R.
October 15 at 12:16 a.m., AST arrested 28-year-old Timothy Jones of Wasilla at a gas station in Wasilla for an outstanding warrant. Jones was taken to MSPT on $50 cash bail.
October 15 at 1:15 a.m., AST arrested 32-year-old Morgan Jett of Palmer on a Federal Arrest Warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation on the O/C of MIW3 and MICS 4 after investigating suspicious activity on Sullivan Avenue in Palmer. Jett was taken to MSPT without bail.
October 15 at 10:00 p.m., AST arrested 35-year-old Bobby Sperling Jr. of Eagle River for DUI, and refusal to submit to a breath test. Troopers received a report of a male in a vehicle in an altered state of mind and took Sperling Jr. to MSPT where he was released O/R.
October 15 at 10:14 p.m., AST was unable to locate a silver 1998 Honda Civic near Hollywood road and Halston Avenue after the driver of the Honda fled at high speeds and traveled off the roadway. The two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot along Lucille Creek Drive and were not found.
October 15, AST arrested 30-year-old Shadow Silvers of Anchorage on an outstanding warrant for FTA on a plea hearing on January 1, 2016 on the O/C of DUI, refusal, and no vehicle liability insurance. Silvers was taken to MSPT on $1,000 cash or corporate bail.
October 16 at 1:00 a.m., AST arrested 26-year-old Keith Pulver of Wasilla for DUI. Troopers received a report of a driver passed out in a vehicle with slashed tires in a business parking lot near the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Seward Meridian Parkway. Pulver was taken to MSPT on $500 bail.
October 16 at 8:16 p.m., AST received a report of a stolen white 2002 Ford Crown Victoria with a black front bumper stolen from near Mile 49 of the Parks Highway.
October 16 at 11:25 p.m., AST arrested 39-year-old Lowell Morgan of Wasilla for DUI. Troopers stopped Morgan in a 1999 Chevy Silverado for a moving violation and took Morgan to MSPT.
October 17 at 9:18 a.m., AST issued misdemeanor citations for Theft 4 to 28-year-old John Martin of Wasilla and 31-year-old Jessica Rambeau of Wasilla who had been reported for shoplifting alcohol from the Tesoro on East Palmer-Wasilla Highway in Wasilla. Both have a mandatory court appearance date.
October 17 at 3:45 p.m., AST arrested 23-year-old Yelena Abaras of Wasilla for DUI after receiving a report of a dangerous driver on North Sage Road in Wasilla. Abaras was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
October 17 at 5:56 p.m., AST arrested 41-year-old Brandy Sue Helmick of Palmer for Assault 4 (DV) after assaulting a family member on Erica Circle in Palmer. Helmick was taken to MSPT.
October 17 at 11:32 p.m., AST arrested 51-year-old Denise Moss of Wasilla for DUI. Moss was stopped in a Honda CRV for an equipment violations and AST smelled marijuana smoke coming from the vehicle on Lucille Street near Seldon Avenue. Moss was taken to MSPT.
October 18 at 1:00 a.m., AST arrested 37-year-old Jeremiah Farquhar of Wasilla for DUI after crashing his vehicle near Pittman Road in Wasilla. Farquhar was taken to MSPT and held without bail.
October 18 at 1:47 a.m., AST arrested 22-year-old Matthew Larson of Wasilla for DUI and Fail to stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer. AST attempted a traffic stop on Larson on Bogard Road near Bruiser Circle in Wasilla and crashed in the woods near Martin Circle after a short pursuit. Larson was taken to MSRMC for evaluation and taken to MSPT without bail.
October 18 at 6:27 a.m., AST arrested 31-year-old Felicia Sandvik of Palmer for DUI and MICS 4. Troopers received a report of a dangerous driver southbound on the Glenn Highway from Inner Springer Loop in Palmer. Sandvik was stopped in a 2018 Jeep Cherokee on Crimsonview Court and taken to MSPT where she was released O/R.
October 18 at 9:57 a.m., AST received a report of $1,500 in property stolen including a Takamine Acoustic-Electric Guitar taken from Mid Valley Christian Center on South Hay Street in Wasilla.
October 18 at 4:00 p.m., AST arrested 34-year-old Derick Baisch of Wasilla for Assault 4 and Criminal Mischief 4 (DV) after assaulting a family member dand damaging property near Lazy Lane in Wasilla.
October 18 at 5:52 p.m., AST with the CSU arrested 53-year-old Martin Boardman of Wasilla for an outstanding arrest warrant for violating probation conditions on the O/C of Burglary 1. Boardman was taken to MSPT with three months to serve on $5,000 bail.
October 18 at 7:23 p.m., AST arrested 45-year-old Dunovan Trout of Wasilla for Criminal Mischief 4. WPD also responded and arrested Trout for a weapons offense earlier in the week. Troopers were called to North Sund Court in Wasilla for a disturbance after Trout had damaged property. Trout was taken to MSPT.
October 19 at 12:43 a.m., AST arrested 28-year-old Jeremiah Desilva of Big Lake after stopping Desilva’s 1990 Ford F250 for an equipment violation. Desilva had an outstanding warrant and was arrested and taken to MSPT on $1,000 bail.
October 19 at 7:10 a.m., AST received a report of $800 in damage done to property at a campground at Jim Creek in Palmer. October 19 at 9:08 a.m., AST received a report that three vehicles were broken into and various items were stolen from The Ranch Subdivision in Palmer.
October 19 at 7:21 p.m., AST arrested 40-year-old Creacy Bearfield of Palmer for DUI near Mile 73 of the Parks Highway in Willow. Bearfield was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
October 19 at 7:42 p.m., AST arrested 54-year-old Douglas Telkamp of Wasilla following a reported disturbance on Bettina Way in Wasilla. Telkamp assaulted a family member and damaged property and was taken to MSPT without bail.
October 20 at 8:06 a.m., AST arrested 23-year-old Sean Russell of Wasilla for DUI on North Trunk Road in Palmer. Russell was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
October 20 at 10:50 p.m., AST arrested 35-year-old Jared Michael of Wasilla after assaulting a family member and damaging property on Blondell Drive in Wasilla. Michael was charged with Assault 4 (DV) and Criminal Mischief 5 (DV) and taken to MSPT without bail.
October 21 at 4:56 p.m., AST pursued a 1999 Subaru Impreza for several miles before the driver crashed. 22-year-old Ashley Cobb of Wasilla had an outstanding arrest warrant and the driver fled on foot and was not located. Cobb was taken to MSPT on $1,000 bail.
October 21 at 8:23 p.m., AST received a report of nearly $10,000 in ATV’s and a trailer stolen from Sunset Avenue in Wasilla. A white single axle enclosed trailer, a yellow Honda Rancher 350 and a black and green 2013 Arctic Cat 1000 were stolen.
October 22 at 4:09 a.m., AST arrested 48-year-old Tracy Tesnow of Wasilla after responding to a disturbance on Meadow Lakes Loop in Wasilla. Tesnow had an outstanding warrant for Criminal Mischief 4 and was taken to MSPT without bail.
ALASKA WILDLIFE TROOPERS
October 15, AWT cited 38-year-old Jared Reese of Wasilla for harvesting a caribou during a closed season. Meat was given to charity and the antlers were seized.
PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT
October 8, PPD arrested 26-year-old Arthur Koppenberg of Palmer for Burglary 2, Criminal Mischief 3, and theft 4. Koppenburg was taken to MSPT without bail.
October 11, PPD forwarded charges of MICS 4 on 47-year-old Duane Anderson of Palmer to the DAO.
October 11, PPD arrested 32-year-old Trent White of Palmer for Criminal Mischief 5 and took White to MSPT without bail.
October 14, PPD arrested 48-year-old Michael Haire of Wasilla for DUI and Failure to stop at the Direction of a Peace Officer. Haire was taken to MSPT on $1,000 bail.
October 14, PPD arrested 26-year-old Lanycha Zimmer of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 2. Zimmer was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
October 17, PPD arrested 20-year-old Cameron McCarthy of Palmer for VCOR on the O/C of Escape and Assault and was taken to MSPT.
October 18, PPD arrested 26-year-old Arthur Koppenberg of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 2 and VCOR. Koppenberg was taken to MSPT on $1,000 bail.
October 5 at 4:49 a.m., WPD arrested Christopher Converse for Assault 4 (DV) after a male flagged down WPD at the Dorothy Page Museum following the assault. Converse was taken to MSPT.
October 6 at 8:03 a.m., WPD arrested Dmitriy Khveshchuk on South Hermon Road and the Parks Highway for Felony DUI based on his prior DUI convictions. Khveshchuk was taken to MSPT.
October 6 at 11:59 a.m., WPD terminated pursuit of a motorcycle who had no license plate displayed and was driving recklessly. The pursuit lasted about two minutes and was terminated due to public safety concerns.
October 6 at 4:10 p.m., WPD arrested Michael Wood for Assault 4 (DV) after being reported grabbing a female by the throat in the Walmart parking lot and grabbing a little boy out of the truck.
October 9 at 11:38 p.m., WPD arrested Dylan Johnson for DUI at the intersection of the Parks Highway and Church Road. Johnson was taken to MSPT and his vehicle was towed.
October 10 at 5:48 p.m. WPD arrested Jeremy Estes for DUI after a being called in for driving his vehicle into the ditch near South Seward Meridian Parkway and the Parks Highway. Estes was taken to MSPT.
October 11 at 12:09 a.m., WPD arrested Michael Phillips for Assault 4 (DV) after assaulting a woman at a residence on North Lucille Street in Wasilla. Phillips was taken to MPST.
October 16 at 9:46 a.m., WPD received a report of $700 in cash and a $500 iPad stolen from MyHouse on North Willow Street in Wasilla.
October 16 at 6:12 a.m., WPD received a report of shots fired into King’s Chapel Church on North Lucille Street in Wasilla. Donovan Trout was charged with MIWS 1 and Criminal Mischief 3 through the DAO following investigation.
October 17 at 1:28 p.m., WPD received a report of a suspicious vehicle at the Smith Ballfields on South Knik-Goose Bay Road. The vehicle had been stolen and was returned to the rightful owner.
October 17 at 8:58 p.m., WPD arrested Amber Porter for Assault 4 (DV) on West Wilder Avenue. Porter was taken to MSPT without bail.
October 18 at 1:36 a.m., WPD charged Robert Pokorny with Assault 3 through the DAO after a disturbance at the Holiday Gas Station on North Boundary Street.
October 18 at 8:25 a.m., WPD charged Eric Morphis for an offense on North Yenlo Street and the Parks Highway after receiving a report of a violation of a domestic violence restraining order.
October 18 at 10:55 p.m., WPD arrested Stephanie Reem for VCOR and DWLR after being stopped for an equipment violation on South Knik-Goose Bay Road.
