Alaska State Troopers

As of now, the Valley has 36 Alaska State Troopers, 14 less than it had in 2005, according to Mayor Vern Halter, who also added that he had been informed that an adequate trooper number to police the borough was 85.

October 12 at 4:16 a.m., AST arrested 38-year-old Jennene Nashoanak of Stebbins for Assault 4 (DV) and Criminal Mischief 5 (DV) following a disturbance off of Willow Fishhook Road in Wasilla. Nashoanak was taken to MSPT without bail.

October 12 at 12:34 a.m., AST arrested 34-year-old Jennifer Wimmer of Wasilla for DWLR following a traffic stop at the intersection of Meadow Lakes Loop and Skyview Drive in Wasilla. Wimmer was taken to MSPT without bail and released O/R.

October 12 at 1:05 p.m., AST arrested 44-year-old Ronald Fisher of Anchorage for DUI near mile 199 of the Parks Highway. Fisher was taken to FCC.

October 12 at 10:24 p.m., AST arrested 48-year-old Theresa Hardin of Wasilla for Assault 4 (DV) following a report of a disturbance involving a firearm in Wasilla. Hardin was taken to MSPT without bail.

October 13 at 2:08 p.m., AST received a report of a burglary near Point Mackenzie totaling approximately $33,000.

October 13 at 8:00 a.m., AST arrested 45-year-old Jodi Scoggin of Palmer on an outstanding AST warrant for a traffic violation. Scoggin was taken to MSPT on $50 cash bail.

October 14 at 6:22 p.m., AST arrested 66-year-old Leona Oxereok of Wells for Criminal Mischief 5 (DV) and Disorderly Conduct following a disturbance near Sands Drive in Wasilla. Oxereok was taken to MSPT without bail. Alcohol was a factor.

October 14 at 9:08 p.M., AST arrested 25-year-old Isaac John-Giles of Houston for Assault 4 (DV) and Criminal Mischief (DV) following a disturbance on North Anthony Road in Houston. John-Giles was taken to MSPT.

October 14 at 7:20 p.m., AST arrested Nataliya Hansen for Assault 4 (DV) following a disturbance on West Skyview Drive in Wasilla. Hansen was taken to MSPT without bail.

October 14 at 5:06 p.m., AST received a report of a vehicle broken into on Crevasse Moraine Trailhead in Palmer.

October 15 at 5:58 a.m., AST arrested 19-year-old Brandon Drew of Palmer for VCOR following a report of a theft in progress on Ryder Drive in Palmer. Drew was taken to MSPT on $1,000 bail.

PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

October 7, PPD received a received a report that someone had broken into JD Steel and attempted to steal items belonging to the company.

October 7, PPD arrested 39-year-old Patrick Moore of Palmer on a $1,000 FTA warrant on the O/C of Vehicle Theft 1 and VCOR. Moore was taken to MSPT.

October 11, PPD issued a summons to 44-year-old Thomas Snow of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 2.

October 13, PPD issued a summons to 28-year-old Rosebud Sweeney of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 2.

WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

October 7 at 7:54 p.m., WPD issued a summons to 30-year-old Joslynn Little of Palmer for DVIP and cited for not having insurance following a traffic stop for equipment violations.

October 7 at 9:30 p.m., WPD issued a summons to Destini Mcghi for Criminal Trespass 2 at Carrs.

October 8 at 12:31 p.m., WPD arrested 53-year-old Milysha Houston of Wasilla following multiple reports of a dangerous driver near the Parks Highway and Yenlo Street. WPD contacted Houston asleep behind the wheel of her vehicle. Houston was taken to MSPT on charges of DUI and released O/R.

October 8 at 11:09 p.m., WPD issued a criminal summons to Chrisopher Kronewitter for DLWR.

October 9, WPD issued a summons to 39-year-old Jason Armstrong of Wasilla for DWLR.

October 9 at 8:21 p.m., WPD issued a summons to 59-year-old Orville Hewhall of Big Lake for DWLS.

October 9 at 8:40 p.m., WPD issued a summons to 46-year-old Jason Dowell of Wasilla for DWLS and was additionally cited for lack of proof of insurance.

October 10, WPD issued a criminal summons to 54-year-old Don Thronsen of Wasilla for DWLS.

October 11 at 4:12 a.m., WPD issued a summons to 19-year-old Hunter Olge of Wasilla for MICS 6.

October 11 at 9:40 a.m., WPD issued a summons to Skyler Marsh of Wasilla for Theft 4.

October 12 at 12:07 a.m., WPD issued a summons to Marco Rose for driving without insurance.

October 13 at 7:38 p.m., WPD issued a criminal summons to Shane Madsen for Criminal Trespass 2.

October 13 at 8:42 p.m., WPD arrested Beau Bishop behind Petco after receiving a report of shoplifting at Fred Meyer. Bishop was identified by LP and charged with Theft 2 along with warrants on eight Theft 2 charges over the past three years. Bishop was taken to MSPT.
