June 28 at 6:42 p.m., AST located a collision between a vehicle and bicycle near Vine Road and Raspberry Loop and began providing CPR prior to EMS arrival for the bicycle rider, who later died from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was 41-year-old Chris Anderson of Wasilla and had an active warrant for FTC on the O/C of violating a DVPO and VCOR. Anderson was taken to MSPT for the active warrant and taken to MSPT on $100 bail. The DAO will be consulted once the investigation is complete.
August 21 at 7:20 p.m., AST arrested 41-year-old Brian Bates from Willow near Williwaw Way in Wasilla following a tip. Bates was arrested on a warrant for DWLR and taken to MSPT on $200 cash bail.
August 22 at 2:10 a.m., AST cited 20-year-old Juan Ramirez of Wasilla for DWLR near the Parks Highway and the Palmer-Wasilla Highway. Ramirez had his license revoked from a previous charge of Reckless Driving and DWLR and was issued a misdemeanor and released.
August 22 at 9:00 p.m., AST arrested 46-year-old Craig Wilson of Palmer for Assault 4 (DV) following a reported disturbance on Showers Street in Palmer. Wilson was taken to MSPT without bail.
August 23 at 6:53 p.m., AST arrested 32-year-old Matthew Smith of Wasilla following a reported disturbance on Pioneer Peak Drive in Wasilla. Smith had an active arrest warrant on the O/C of Criminal Mischief 4 and was additionally charged with Assault 4 (DV), Trespass 1 (DV), Criminal Mischief 5 (DV), and VCOR stemming from a pending Criminal Mischief 4 charge. Smith was taken to MSPT without bail.
August 24 at 9:03 p.m., AST arrested 41-year-old Donald Coffield of Anchorage following a traffic stop near Inner Springer Road in Palmer. Coffield was charged with DUI, DWLR, and cited for Open Container and Proof of Insurance and taken to MSPT on $500 bail. Coffield’s passenger, 33-year-old Valerie Herring of Anchorage was violating a DVPO and also taken to MSPT without bail.
August 24 at 9:19 a.m., AST arrested 40-year-old Brent Nichols of Wasilla for four active arrest warrants on Sourdough Drive in Wasilla. Nichols was taken to MSPT on $2,200 bail.
August 24 at 11:38 p.m., AST arrested 29-year-old Jeremy Wright of Sutton following a reported disturbance in Sutton. Wright was charged with Criminal Mischief 4 (DV) and taken to MSPT without bail.
August 25 at 5:15 a.m., AST on the Parks Highway contacted 24-year-old Lucymae Tukle of North Pole near Cantwell and discovered that she was VCOR from a previous case when she was ordered not to consume alcohol. Tukle had also committed Unlawful Contact and was taken to FCC.
August 25 at 10:08 a.m., AST received a report of a stolen 1995 Fly Wing dirt bike from the yard of a residence on Culk Circle in the Butte during the previous 48 hours.
August 25 at 4:27 p.m., AST received a report that a black and red Specialized Stump Jumper mountain bike and spotting scope were stolen from an unattended vehicle on Gershmel Loop.
August 25 at 4:50 p.m., AST received a report of a stolen 15 foot yellow aluminum canoe with a flat transom to accept an outboard motor stolen from a residence on Wasilla Lake between August 2 and August 4.
August 25, AST covering the McKinley Fire cited 48-year-old Norman Richards of Wasilla after he was stopped for speeding in the fire corridor. Richards’ was DWLR and issued a summons for DWLR and cited for speeding.
August 26 at 5:33 a.m., AST arrested 21-year-old Irwin Wells of Wasilla following a report of a suspicious male throwing rocks at a house near West Bunting Street in Wasilla. Wells had thrown rocks through the windows of a car and a residence and charged with Criminal Trespass 1 and Criminal Mischief 3 and taken to MSPT without bail.
August 26 at 3:17 p.m., AST arrested 24-year-old Darin Carrier of Anchorage for DUI following a traffic stop on Inner Springer Loop in Palmer. Carrier was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 26 at 3:40 p.m., AST arrested 21-year-old Mykayla Bradshaw of Palmer who had concealed items on her person and exited Three Bears on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway. Bradshaw was additionally on conditions of release from a prior theft charge and on an ankle monitor with DOC. Bradshaw was charged with VCOR and Theft 4 and taken to MSPT on $250 bail.
August 26 at 7:21 p.m., AST received a report of a stolen 2007 Arctic Cat TRV H1 650 ATV from Lorena Drive in Palmer.
August 26 at 9:07 p.m., AST received a report of a stolen grey 2000 Chevy Silverado with Alaska plates DTY106 from Welch Road in Wasilla.
August 26 at 11:18 p.m., AST arrested 37-year-old Jeremy Humphrey of Trapper Creek near mile 95 of the Parks Highway. Humphrey had an outstanding warrant for FTA on the O/C of Reckless Driving and taken to MSPT on $2,500 bail.
August 27 at 12:03 a.m., AST arrested 67-year-old George Russell of Palmer near Outer Springer Loop for failure to register as a sex offender at his current address in Palmer. Russel was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 27 at 10:59 a.m., AST arrested 27-year-old Garrett Gaffney on the Parks Highway in Houston. Gaffney was charged with Assault 4 (DV) and Criminal Mischief 4 (DV) and was taken to MSPT without bail.
August 27 at 9:25 p.m., AST arrested 31-year-old Peter Williams following a chase that ensued when AST attempted a traffic stop on Williams, who was driving a go-kart on Hollywood Road near Sylvan Lane. Williams led AST on a one-mile pursuit and was arrested on West Metcalf Circle and taken to MSPT on the charge of FTS.
August 28 at 2:30 a.m., AST arrested 37-year-old Wanda Haisley of Wasilla near mile 99 of the Parks Highway in Talkeetna. Haisley had an active warrant on the O/C of Criminal Trespassing 1. Haisley was taken to MSPT with 30 days to serve.
ALASKA WILDLIFE TROOPERS
August 20, AWT in Tok were contacted by 66-year-old Tok resident Jeffrey Vanznandt who self reported harvesting a moose in GMU 12 prior to the open of the hunting season. Vanzandt was cited by Tok Wildlife Troopers for Take Moose Closed Season and given an arraignment date.
August 25 at 2:34 p.m., AWT in Soldotna issued a $160 citation to 29-year-old Sara Thiele of Wasilla at the Swanson River in Kenai for possessing two fish more than the four fish limit of Silvers.

August 20, PPD issued a summons to 38-year-old Christian Harrison of Chickaloon for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender 2.
August 21, PPD arrested 43-year-old Timothy Walker of Big Lake on a $5,000 FTA warrant on the O/C of DUI, DWLR and MICS 4. Walker was taken to MSPT.
August 21, PPD arrested 28-year-old Rosebud Sweeney of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 2. Sweeney was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 21, PPD arrested 42-year-old Earl Brown of Palmer for Assault 4. Brown was taken to MSPT on $500 bail.
August 22, PPD arrested 28-year-old Rosebud Sweeney of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 1 and VCOR. Sweeney was taken to MSPT on $250 bail.
August 23, PPD arrested 30-year-old Charlie Mason of Wasilla for DUI. Mason was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 23, PPD arrested 28-year-old Rosebud Sweeney of Palmer for Disorderly Conduct and VCOR. Sweeney was taken to MSPT without bail.
August 23, PPD arrested 27-year-old Theresa Pagano of Palmer for DUI. Pagano was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 23, PPD arrested 40-year-old Michael Lane of Anchorage for DUI and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Lane was taken to MSPT on $500 bail.
August 23, PPD arrested 25-year-old Brian Pederson of Palmer for Criminal Trespass 2 and VCOR. Pederson was taken to MSPT on $250 bail.
August 23, PPD arrested 33-year-old Jameel Mclarin of Palmer for DUI. Mclarin was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 24, PPD arrested 54-year-old Renee Douglas of Ambler for DUI, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and No Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance. Douglas was taken to MSPT on $1,000 bail.
August 24, PPD arrested 38-year-old Venek Piekarski of Bird Creek on a no bail warrant for Violating DVPO. Piekarski was taken to MSPT.
August 25, PPD arrested 23-year-old Conner Knowles of Palmer for DUI. Knowles was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 25, PPD arrested 61-year-old Jeffrey Okuley of Anchorage for DUI. Okuley was taken to MSPT on $500 bail.
August 25, PPD arrested 33-year-old Amanda Whitmore of Wasilla for DUI and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Whitmore was taken to MSPT and released O/R.
August 25, PPD arrested 42-year-old Mark Wood of Wasilla for DWLR. Wood was taken to MSPT and released O/R.

August 5 at 9:41 p.m., WPD arrested Christopher Koso for Parole Violation following a report of a suspicious vehicle on Kalli Circle in Wasilla. Koso’s vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant and three additional counts of MICS 5 were filed through the DAO on Koso.
August 14 at 3:05 a.m., WPD conducted a welfare check on a vehicle near Lowes and forwarded charges of MICS 5 on 36-year-old Jonathan Goguen of Wasilla for the possession of buprenorphine.
August 19 at 5:39 a.m., WPD conducted a welfare check near the North Parks Highway and South Clapp Street and forwarded ten counts of Theft 2 and a Theft 3 charge to the DAO on Ronda Rice, who had a wallet in her possession that did not belong to her.
August 19 at 9:09 p.m., WPD forwarded charges to the DAO on 34-year-old Jamie Hale of Wasilla for Theft 4 following a report of a male trying to do a dine and dash at the Mat-Su Family Restaurant.
August 19 at 11:08 a.m., WPD forwarded charges to the DAO on 30-year-old Michael Gagliano for Assault 4 (DV) following a domestic disturbance on Fanciful Place in Wasilla.
August 19 at 6:47 p.m., WPD arrested Bruce Hess for Criminal Trespass 2 following a report of trespassing on East Susitna Avenue. Hess was taken to MSPT.
August 19 at 11:26 p.m., WPD arrested 68-year-old Mark Simpson of Houston for DUI at the Mugshot Saloon in Wasilla. Simpson was taken to MSPT.
August 23, WPD took a report of Terroristic Threats to a Public Agency and to their staff and arrested 35-year-old Aleaha Niemann of Wasilla following investigation. Niemann was charged with Terroristic Threatening 2, Assault 3, Harassment 2, and Resisting Arrest and taken to MSPT without bail.
August 23 at 9:37 p.m., WPD arrested Anthony Jeff of California following a traffic stop for expired registration. Jeff had an extraditable warrant out of California and was taken to MSPT.
August 24, WPD arrested Paul Sturgeon for DUI, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and MIWS 4.
August 24 at 11:09 p.m., WPD issued a summons to Jennie Totemoff following a traffic stop where she was found to be in possession of methamphetamines.
August 24, WPD arrested Adair Burke for Criminal Trespass 3. Burke was taken to MSPT.
August 25 at 3:29 a.m., WPD arrested Malachi Cromwell on an outstanding warrant out of Wisconsin. Cromwell was taken to MSPT on a charge of Fugitive from Justice.
August 25 at 11:02 p.m., WPD arrested 34-year-old Jamie Hale for Criminal Trespass 2. Hale was taken to MSPT.
