Alaska State Troopers

As of now, the Valley has 36 Alaska State Troopers, 14 less than it had in 2005, according to Mayor Vern Halter, who also added that he had been informed that an adequate trooper number to police the borough was 85.

All information reported in the Police Beat is obtained from police department press releases. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Palmer Police Department

April 2, PPD arrested 29-year-old Tanesha Hart of Sutton on a $250 FTA warrant on the O/C of Providing False Information and Criminal Mischief. Hart was also arrested on a $500 FTC warrant on the O/C of MICS. Hart was taken to MSPT.

April 3, PPD arrested 38-year-old Jasmine Hollimon of Anchorage on a $1,000 warrant for Theft 2. Hollimon was taken to MSPT.

April 3, PPD arrested 49-year-old Victoria Pushruk of Palmer for Theft 2 and DUI. Pushruk was taken to MSPT without bail.

April 4, 23-year-old Kayla Wildman of Palmer was issued a summons for Driving without Insurance.

April 5, 28-year-old Rosebud Sweeney of Palmer was arrested for Criminal Trespass 2. Sweeney was taken to MSPT and released O/R.

April 7, PPD arrested 30-year-old Tamera Snyder of Anchorage and 34-year-old Susana Mehmedi of Anchorage for Criminal Mischief 5. Both were taken to MSPT and released O/R.

ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

April 2 at 8:07 p.m., AST arrested 39-year-old Cecelia White of Chugiak for DUI, Endangering the Welfare of a Child 1, and Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test near Duchess Drive and Cottrell Campus Drive in Palmer. White was taken to MSPT and released O/R.

April 3, AST arrested 33-year-old Patrick Larson of Wasilla for a warrant on the O/C of VCOR. Larson was taken to MSPT on $250 bail. Larson was called in to AST for walking in the woods in camouflage clothing near a residential area.

April 4 at 1:35 p.m., AST arrested 18-year-od Tavita Slamau of Wasilla for Criminal Mischief 5 following a disturbance on Dartmoor STreet in Wasilla. Slamau was taken to MSPT without bail.

April 3 at 11:50 a.m., AST arrested 49-year-old Eric Jefferson of Wasilla on an outstanding warrant on the O/C of DUI. Jefferson was taken to MSPT with three days to serve.

April 4 at 8:26 p.m., AST arrested 33-year-old Dale Roetman of Wasilla for DUI after he was called in as a dangerous driver at the Valley Country Liquor store near East Bogard Road. Roetman was taken to MSPT and released O/R.

April 6 at 3:07 a.m., AST arrested 32-year-old Lance Fredricks of WAsilla for two outstanding warrants on the O/C’s fo DUI and DWLR. Fredricks was taken to MSPT with three days to serve.

April 7 at 7:48 p.m., AST arrested 40-year-old Michael Jones of Wasilla for Criminal Mischief 4 (DV) near East Quiet Circle in Wasilla. Jones was taken to MSPT.

April 6 at 4:17 p.m., AST arrested 61-year-old Cary Greene of Talkeetna for ASsault 3 (DV) on Camelot Place in Talkeetna. Greene was taken to MSPT without bail.

April 7 at 12:47 a.m., AST arrested 24-year-old Tommy Brunsvold of Wasilla for DUI on Charley Drive in Wasilla. Brunsvold was taken to MSPT.

April 7 at 11:19 p.m., AST forwarded charges of Vehicle Theft 1 and Criminal Trespass 1 to the DAO for 36-year-old Kristopher Simpson of Wasilla on Fian Drive in Wasilla.

April 9 at 7:54 p.m., AST arrested 27-year-old Troy Brown of Wasilla on an outstanding arrest warrant near Bel Aire Drive in Wasilla. Brown was taken to MSPT on $150 cash bail.

April 10 at 7:00 a.m., AST arrested Billy Murray Jr., on two outstanding arrest warrants totaling $5,500 plus CATP. Murray was arrested at a residence on West Hunter Drive in Big Lake and taken to MSPT.

April 10 at 2:17 p.m., AST arrested 27-year-old Joseph Gaze of Wasilla for violating a DVPO in Palmer. Gaze was taken to MSPT.

BUREAU OF HIGHWAY PATROL

April 4 at 5:11 p.m., AST with the BHP charged 41-year-old Miguel Gonzalez of Wasilla for DWLR on mile 1 of Knik Goose-Bay Road.

April 6 at 1:30 p.m, AST with the BHP arrested 29-year-old Kathryne Collins of Wasilla on an outstanding warrant for FTA on the O/C of Criminal Trespassing 1. Collins was the passenger in a vehicle with two different license plates blocking the service road near Settler’s Bay. Collins was taken to MSPT.

April 10 at 6:32 p.m., AST with the BHP arrested 57-year-old Charles Taylor of Big Lake for an outstanding $250 arrest warrant for FTA on the O/C of driving with a suspended license. Taylor was taken to MSPT.
