THEFT

May 28 at 3:13 a.m., WPD responded to Bumpus Ball Fields on W Mystery Ave after an alarm had gone off in the concession stand. Still currently under investigation, WPD determined that the front door had been broken open.

May 29 PPD arrested 29 year old Jordan Ingalls for DUI and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test and taken for MSPT where he was released on his own recognizance.

May 30 at 5:55 p.m., AST received a reported theft of a Miller Dynasty welder valued at $5,500 taken from Meadow Lakes Lp in Wasilla.

May 30 at 8:58 p.m., WPD received a report of $1,500 of merchandise stolen from Home Depot  which was shoplifted and subsequently put up for sale on Facebook later that day.

May 31 at 11:30 a.m., AST received a report of an attempted theft of gas cans on S Woodworth Lp in Palmer.

June 2 at 5:09 p.m. AST received a report of a black Chevy Tahoe stolen from the intersection of Bogard Rd and Seldon Rd between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

June 3 PPD arrested 22 year old James Erickson of Palmer for DUI and took him to MSPT where he was released on his own recognizance.

June 3 at 1:04 p.m., AST received a report of stolen guns and sporting good items stolen from Cheri Lake Dr in Houston sometime in the previous two days.

June 4 at 11:55 p.m., AST received a reported theft of tools and construction items from a property on at Sockeye Lake in Talkeetna valued at more than $2,500 taken some time in the last 12 months.

June 5 at 12:03 p.m., AST received a report of $3,700 of items were stolen from a cabin that had been broken into on Sybarite Rd in Palmer.

BAD DRIVERS

May 30 at 7:50 p.m., AST arrested 56 year old Kenneth Rawson of Houston who had trespassed on a property near King Arthur Dr in Houston and had a previous warrant for violation of probation on the original charge of Felony DUI. Rawson was taken to MSPT and held on $2,500 bail with a court appointed third party condition.

May 31 at 6:23 a.m., AST responded to a suspicious running vehicle parked and blocking the boat launch at Finger Lake. AST arrested 26 year old Shalayna Barber who had an outstanding arrest warrant and 25 year old Siokapesi Taliai who was arrested for theft of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. Barber was later charged with Promoting Contraband 1 for taking a deadly weapon into the facility and both females were taken to MSPT without bail.

June 1 at 11:30 a.m., construction workers reported a dangerous driver to AST near mile 93 of the Parks Hwy in Talkeetna. Troopers later arrested 42 year old Eya Ciaravino of Caswell Lakes in her 1997 Ford Van for DUI. Ciaravino was taken to MSPT on $500 bail.

June 1 at 8:23 p.m., AST stopped a 2017 Ford F-150 at the Matanuska Lake Park in Palmer and arrested 65 year old Paul Pierron of Arizona for DUI and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Pierron was taken to MSPT and released on his own recognizance.

June 2 at 2:47 p.m., AST received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Clapp St near Donovan Dr. 55 year old Barbara Burke of Wasilla admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana and was arrested and taken to MSPT.

June 4 at 9:52 a.m., AST responded to a report of a dangerous driver on Bogard Rd and Silver Creek Dr in Palmer who had damaged his front passenger side wheel going around a roundabout and was disabled in the median. 40 year old Gerald Manion of Wasilla was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and resisted when AST attempted to cuff him. Manion was also in possession of a firearm. He was charged with DUI, MIW 4, and resisting arrest and taken to MSPT on $5,000 cash corporate and an ankle monitor.   

June 4 at 7:46 p.m., AST attempted to stop a white Buick traveling northbound at speeds exceeding 100 mph near Sutton. Pursuit ensued and 26 year old Jeffrey Kudlacek, of Sutton, continued to elude Troopers for ten miles, continuing to drive after his tires had been deflated by spike strips. Kudlacek then took off on foot, and was eventually arrested for Felony Eluding and Felony DUI/Refusal and held without bail. June 4 at 10:42 p.m., AST responded to a suspicious vehicle and found 40 year old Elias Rolando of Eagle River and 34 year old Thomas Shade of Anchorage to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin at the end of Jess Ave in Wasilla. Rolando was issued a criminal citation and Shade was arrested, both for MICS 4 and taken to MSPT.

June 5 at 6:23 p.m., AST responded to a reported single vehicle collision on W Indigo Dr in Meadow Lakes. 57 year old Edwin Burns of Meadow Lakes was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, arrested and taken to MSPT for DUI felony once released.

June 6 at 2:08 a.m., AST stopped a Chevy Equinox and arrested 23 year old Alexandria Cook of Anchorage for DUI. She was taken to MSPT and released on her own recognizance.

June 7 at 12:08 a.m., AST stopped a silver Honda Civic near the Parks Hwy and Pittman Rd and issued a criminal citation to 24 year old Wesley Benedix of Wasilla for MICS 4, who was in possession of heroin.

VIOLENCE

May 25 at 4:51 p.m., WPD responded to a reported DVPO violation, arrested Jonathan Goguen and took him to MSPT.

May 26 at 12:22 a.m., WPD responded to Tailgater’s for a reported assault. Nathan Thompson of California was arrested for assault 2 and the victim was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

May 27 at 12:45 p.m., WPD received a report of a gun at the Holiday station on N Boundary St and seized it.

May 29 at 12:39 a.m., WPD received a report of an aggressive and combative male at Mugshot Saloon. Kristopher Berberich was arrested for disorderly conduct and being drunk on a licensed premise and taken to MSPT.

May 31 at 10:35 p.m., AST received a report of a disturbance and arrested 30 year old Blaine Mccutcheon of Big Lake for Assault 4 (DV) and VCOR. Mccutcheon had assaulted a family member and was taken to MSPT without bail.

June 1 at 4:56 p.m., AST received a report of an altercation between two family members on N Golden Hills Cir in Palmer.

June 1 at 8:32 p.m., AST received a reported disturbance and referred charges to the Palmer DA’s Office for an altercation between two family members on S Bradley Rd in Trapper Creek.

June 2 at 2:57 p.m., AST responded to a disturbance and arrested 32 year old Brandys Bradley of Wasilla for Criminal Mischief 4 (DV). Bradley caused $250 of damage to property prior to the altercation and was intoxicated during the incident. Bradley was taken to MSPT and is awaiting arraignment.

June 6 at 5:55 p.m., AST responded to a residence near mile 9 of the Old Glenn Hwy to investigate an assault and forwarded charges to the Palmer DA’s Office for 24 year old Chad J Cameron of Palmer, who fled the scene prior to AST’s arrival. Cameron had assaulted a family member during a disagreement and a warrant will be requested from the DAO.

June 7 at 5:20 a.m., AST arrested 34 year old Maryanne Sandifer for Assault 4 (DV) at an address off S Lazenby Rd. Standifer was taken to MSPT on no bail awaiting arraignment.

COUNTERFEITS

May 25 at 6:59 p.m., WPD received a report of a counterfeit $20 passed at Taco Bell. The bill was seized as evidence.

May 28 at 9:53 a.m., WPD received a reported counterfeit $50 passed at the Tesoro on E Parks Hwy. The bill was seized as evidence.

May 30 at 5:50 a.m., WPD received a reported counterfeit bill at the Holiday gas station on N Boundary St. The bill was seized as evidence.

May 31 at 9:54 a.m., WPD received a reported counterfeit $100 passed at Red Robin. The bill was seized as evidence.

May 31 at 4:50 p.m., WPD received a reported counterfeit $50 at First National Bank. The bill was seized as evidence.

WILLIWAW

June 1 at 8:56 p.m., AST arrested 29 year old Travis Peck on Williwaw Way in Wasilla for outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Theft 2, FTA, and No Bail for VCOR. Peck was taken to MSPT and held without bail.

RANDOM CRIMES

May 27 at 12:16 p.m., WPD received a report of a missing person who had failed to return home to his parents after work the night before.

May 28 at 1:22 p.m., WPD received a report of drugs at Subway. The drugs were seized for destruction.

May 31 at 10:26 p.m., WPD received a report of a male who had overdosed on heroin near the intersection of Bogard and Seldon. When police arrived, they performed CPR and delivered a dose of Narcan after which the male regained consciousness and a heartbeat. The male was taken to MSRMC by EMS for treatment.

June 1 PPD issued a summons to 24 year old Dakoda Barker of Palmer for VCOR and Criminal Trespass 2.
