A man who fled from police after a traffic stop was arrested Thursday morning.

Calvin Heussner, 22, of Wasilla, was arrested and charged with a count of misconduct involving a weapon and a charge of theft after fleeing from police, according to troopers. ASTpulled over a red Dodge truck in Big Lake, and Heussner fled into to a nearby area. With the help of Helo 3 and the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Heussner was located, according to an online dispatch published by AST.

Trapper Creek man charged with assault

A Trapper Creek man faces several charges following a complaint of domestic violence.

AST received a report of a domestic violence incident just after 8 p.m. Thursday night. Michael Ramirez, 29, of Trapper Creek, was charged with two counts of assault in the fourth degree, misconduct involving weapons in the first degree and misconduct involving a weapon in the fourth degree. Ramirez was intoxicated and attacked his girlfriend and her 17-month-old son, according to the trooper investigation.
