Four new COVID-19 cases were reported in the state by the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services Saturday, including one in Wasilla.
A total of 25 cases have now been reported in the Mat-Su Borough. Wasilla now has 15 total cases reported. Nine have been reported in Palmer and one in Willow.
The case reported Saturday is only Wasilla’s third and the borough’s fourth during the month of May. There was a case in Willow reported on May 10 and two cases in Wasilla on May 22. Prior to that, the last borough cases were reported on April 18. The borough’s first positive case was reported on March 16. Of the borough’s 25 cases, 19 are now considered recovered.
Single Alaska cases were also reported in Anchorage, Homer and the Kenai Peninsula Borough Saturday. Alaska’s total stands at 434 as of Saturday, and 368 cases are considered recovered. A total of 51,695 tests have been done.
There was also a nonresident case reported in the Bristol Bay Borough Saturday.
