A Wasilla woman was arrested after a short pursuit early Tuesday morning.

The Alaska State Troopers attempted to pull over Sarah Peterson, 34, of Wasilla. Peterson did not stop and led troopers on a short pursuit and exceeded speeds of 100 mph, according to an online dispatch published by AST Tuesday. The pursuit ended at Knik-Goose Bay Road and Vine Road. According to troopers, Peterson was driving a stolen vehicle that had the VIN removed. Drugs were also found by troopers in the vehicle.

Peterson is now facing theft in the second degree, failure to stop in the direction of an officer, removal of the identification marks and two counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance, according to online court records.
