David Paul Diamond
Longtime Alaska resident David Paul Diamond, 64, passed away peacefully at his Houston, Alaska, home on Friday, October 8th, 2021. Per David’s wishes there will be no service.
David was born January 6th, 1957, in Santa Barbara, California, to Norman and Barbara Diamond. Dave moved to Alaska early in life where he worked a number of different jobs across many different communities, with each job expanding on his mechanical skills. Eventually, Dave went to work for the State of Alaska where he remained until declining health convinced him to take early retirement.
Dave enjoyed turning wrenches on anything with an engine, driving anything that was fast, watching NASCAR, drinking Peppermint Schnapps, and spending time with his friends, his family, and especially his grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Deidra Diamond; son, David Paul Diamond Jr; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and four siblings, Lisa Arnold, Kelly Diamond, Gene Diamond, and Bruce Diamond.
Dave’s family and friends hope people remember Dave’s love of family, his generosity, his ability to repair anything and everything mechanical, his hearty laugh, and his mischievous but infectious grin.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Legacy Funeral Homes & Cremation Services.
