Genevieve was a very loving mother and family meant everything to her. She loved having her family and friends around her. She was a Registered Nurse when she first came to Alaska and worked in the ER at the Old Providence Hospital until she began having children. She spent her time raising her 10 children and running the business.

In 1983, Genevieve, along with her late husband, Lawrence, moved the business and their home to the Valley. After her husband died, she eventually built a home in Willow on Long Lake and moved there. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Willow and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wasilla.
