WASILLA — Konnor Kolberg used a trio of wins to help the Colony Knights sweep the first Valley event of the 2019 prep swimming and diving season.

Kolberg finished first in the 200 individual medley, 100 butterfly and the 100 breastroke. The Kolberg wins helped the Colony boys finish with 164 total points. The Knights girls and boys squads combined to amass a meet-best 320 points.

Kolberg was also one of four athletes to earned multiple wins. His teammate, Jonathan Cowin, was first in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Taylor Nelson led the Colony girls with a first-place finish in the 100 and 200 freestyle races. Ally Ferguson paced the Palmer girls with victories in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly. Palmer’s Jaxon Lee led the Moose boys with wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.

Colony’s Jasmine Biederman (girls’ 100 breastroke), Josephine Rogness (100 backstroke) and Eli Krozel (boys’ diving), and Paler’s Kyra Pettit (girls’ 50 freestyle), Olivia Beck (girls’ 500 freestyle), Tyler Coffman (boys’ diving) and Kaeson Dalrymple-Sorensn (boys’ 500 freestyle) also won races.

Colony also swept the girls’ and boys’ 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. Palmer swept the girls’ and boys’ 200 freestyle relays.
