WASILLA — The Colony Knights swept the team titles during the Wasilla Senior Send-Off Saturday at the Wasilla Pool.
Colony’s Jasmine Biederman, Taylor Nelson and Jonathan Cowin each won a pair of events to help the Knights girls and boys both finish with 144 total points in the team standings. The Knights were also at the top of the overall standings with the 299 combined points.,
Biederman finished first in both the girls’ 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke, and Nelson was first in the girls’ 200 freestyle and 100 butterfuly. Cowin was first in the boys’ 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Katie Laasch-Gray (50 freestyle) and Joscelyn Barrette (100 backstroke) also earned wins for the Colony girls, and Konnor Kolberg (200 individual medley), Karson Kolberg (100 breaststroke), Aleks Tokalich (50 freestyle) and Eli Krozel (diving) won events for the Colony boys.
The Knights also swept the girls’ and boys’ 200 medley relays and 400 freestyle relays.
Olivia Beck led the Palmer girls with a win in the 500 freestyle, and Charlie Russell finished first in the boys’ 500 freestyle for the Moose. Palmer also won the girls’ 200 freestyle.
Carrie Meyer led Wasilla with a win in the girls’ diving event.
Palmer finished as the runner-up in both the girls’ and boys’ standings. The Wasilla girls were third and the boys’ were fourth.
Valdez also competed in the quad-meet, and won a combined four events.
