Let's not forget that our school board has been absent when our district needs leadership guidance. They've held no special meetings to handle how school will be opened and they've been absent with regards to planning.
The District is trying to paint a rosy picture of what is going to be a community disaster. Rooms will have a spray disinfectant (J512), but they won't have hand sanitizer. Secondary schools don't have sinks in every room so there won't be hand washing. Social distancing will be impossibl…
Teachers would feel a lot more comfortable if they were included in the conversation about what schooling will look like in the fall. So far the District has not included teachers (the people that provide instruction and have the most interaction with students) in the discussions.
Thank you both for your years of service to our Valley kids and our community.
At least the Governor is trying to do something to better the state. He's been trying to pass a balanced budget for the past 3 years and trying to develop our gas reserves. Sadly, your party has done nothing but obstruct any forward movement in our state.
Our police officers and dispatchers deserve good wages and a fair contract.
Duck Dynasty? Really!? Who are you going to book next, the Westboro Baptist Church? Or maybe Clive Bundy?
Just because some of these figures get a lot of press coverage, doesn't mean we should be promoting them. We don't need to be promoting bigots at the Alaska State Fair.
Here's an article from 2009 on what Dunleavy did for education. It's clear he has an agenda and it's not favorable to public education.http://www.alaskareport.com/news39/x71320_mike_dunleavy.htm
If Dunleavy and Gattis really wanted to positively affect education they'd introduce legislation to limit class sizes.
That pretty much sums it up. Thanks for the cartoons Chuck. You say volumes in just a few frames.
