Gateway to Darkness continues through Nov. 1 at 1241 W. Melanie Ave, Unit 4 in Wasilla. Shows are from 7 to 11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays and on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. Sunday shows are from 6 to 9 p.m. Kids 12 and under can go through with the lights on from 5:30 to 6 p.m., Sundays. Tickets are $15 at the door, or online, at hauntak.com.
Check out “The Zombie Hay Maze” at the Reindeer Farm, 5661 Bodenburg Loop, Palmer. Tours are offered from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., Oct. 30 and 31. Tickets are $7 per person and proceeds benefit the Palmer High School Music Program.
Halloween Hollow is from 3 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31 at Raven Hall on the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer. The event is a fundraiser for the Mat-Su Special Santa program.
Our Lady of the Valley’s “Halloween Fest” is from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31 at Sacred Heart Church. Trick or treat tables, games, food and tons of fun!! If you would like to decorate or do a game table please call 376-0883. Entry is free but ask for a canned food donation for our local food pantry.
Palmer Fire Association is hosting its 23rd annual Autumn Harvest (Halloween) Open House Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Palmer Fire Station. Bring your kids to visit with Sparky the Fire Dog, play games, have their picture taken, and enjoy treats and pumpkin juice. All children are welcome!
“Night at the Museum” is from 4 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31 at the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry in Wasilla. Tickets are $5 per person. Come trick or treat the historical characters. Bring the whole family.
A fall festival is from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 31 at Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Big Lake. The event is free and filled with fun games, good food, and lots of candy! All are invited. For more information, contact 892-8545.
Stay warm and show off those costumes at the second annual Fall Carnival from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 31 at Houston High School. Admission to the fundraiser is one can of food or $2 per family. Game tickets are 50 cents each and games require one to four per game. The evening concludes with a Gorilla Fireworks show at 8:15 p.m.
Annual Spooktacular Halloween Carnival is from 6 to 9 p.m., Oct. 31 at Fronteras Spanish Immersion Charter School, E. 7010 Bogard Road.
"Field of Fear" is from 7 to 10 p.m., Oct. 31 at 880 N. Recluse Circle, Wasilla. Live actors, static props, skits, bonfire, free to all. No strobe lights in use. This is a family and group effort that we are pleased to offer again. We hope you all come out to support our new location and new haunt. Donations accepted but not required.

On Halloween night, Meadowood Mall merchants will have extra activities for the kids as well from 6 to 9 p.m., including trick-or-treating and hair-painting by stylist Lisa Holiday at Big Lake Family Hair Salon from 4 to 8 p.m.
