PALMER — This weekend is your chance to step into the 60’s and 70’s through the lens of Baron Wolman, Chief Photographer for Rolling Stone magazine from 1967 to 1970.
The Palmer museum will host the travelling exhibit through March 16th.
Until then, you can view vintage Rolling Stone magazine covers featuring musicians in the 1960's and 70's. This exhibit explores how one artist's camera captured and helped define one of the most important eras in rock-n roll history.
Wolman pioneered a new genre of iconic rock photography. The Backstage Pass exhibition gives viewers an opportunity to experience how the photographers and editors of Rolling Stone guided the creation of the “rock star” persona, from concert, to cover, to icon. Supporting material includes DVD "Woodstock", CD's, and educational books. Running from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throughout the week.
