In honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, The Magic Yarn Project and Mat-Su Regional Medical Center are teaming up this September to offer a free wig-making workshop to volunteers interested in creating a soft and whimsical yarn wig for a child battling cancer!
- Our wigs are 100% volunteer made, funded 100% by donations, and are FREE to children around the world.
- We will be creating wigs in the following styles: Anna, Ariel, Aurora, Elsa, Jasmine, Jack Sparrow, Moana, Rainbow, and Rapunzel.
- No previous or crafty experience is required to create a whimsical wig. We will have our "Fairy Godmothers" on hand to instruct you in how to make your wig.
- All supplies are provided--just bring yourself and a friend!
- Each wig takes between 1-2 hours to complete.
- Children younger than 14 should be accompanied by and paired with an adult to create their wig.
- PLEASE RSVP if you plan on attending by clicking on the link to our Eventbrite page below!
- We have a goal of creating 100 wigs throughout the day, so please SHARE this event so others can join in on a day of making magic for children most in need of it.
Event is from 10am-4pm @ Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
