The Season 5 Premier Episode will be broadcast live on Saturday October 8 from the historic Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry (MATI) gallery next to Wasilla International Airport. An encore episode will be broadcast live from the Sutton Public Library in November.
The Alaska Home Companion—A Frontier Variety Show! is the Valley Arts Alliance rendition of a live radio broadcast from the golden age of radio, with skits, music, and dance acts, similar to the popular Prairie Home Companion radio show on NPR.
The Wasilla episode of the VAA Alaska Home Companion—A Frontier Variety Show! will be broadcast at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 8 at the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry in Wasilla.
Tickets are $15 and are available at the door. A cash bar will be open during the event.
The Sutton episode of the VAA Alaska Home Companion—A Frontier Variety Show! will be broadcast in November at the Sutton Public Library. Suggested donation is $15

The concert is free and donations will be accepted for The Children’s Place.

She will use her unique gift to take you along on a “Concert of Visual Music” as we hear her perform and see her artwork as well. #5 Fall Coin Show at Fairgrounds
If you’re into coin collection, the State Fairgrounds in Palmer is the placed to be Saturday and Sunday for the Fall Coin Show. Admission is $7 per day, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is in conjunction with the Alaska Gun Collectors Association.
