AARP Tax-Aide seeks volunteers

MAT-SU — AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service. Volunteer training is being planned for the Mat-Su area, and now is the time to register. Training will be held 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 14, Dec. 21, Jan. 4 and Jan. 11 at Wasilla Area Senior Center. Prospective volunteers must attend all four sessions.

After successful completion of the classes, which includes a test, volunteers will be certified to work at one of six Tax-Aide locations in the Valley from Feb. 1 to April 15, 2014.
