Airman 1st Class Lixa Auciel with the 673d SGCS named Arctic Warrior of the Week

Congratulations to Airman 1st Class Lixa Auciel with the 673d SGCS for being recognized as the .

As part of her role as an operating room technician, Auciel managed the night shift for a month, providing 24-hour in-house coverage for emergency C-sections and after-hour cases. After which she was selected to fill the noncommissioned officer in charge position for a month which included sterilizing more than 961 surgical sets and 1,200 instruments in support of 24 clinics with a team of six staff members.

In February, Auciel initiated daily briefings, creatively educating 34 operating-room staff on African American heritage as part of Black History Month 2021.

The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER’s top-performing Airmen.
