WASILLA — The Valley Arts Alliance will produce “The Alaska Home Companion — A Frontier Variety Show” at 7 p.m., Oct. 20 at the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry, 3800 W. Museum Dr., Wasilla.

“The Alaska Home Companion — A Frontier Variety Show” is the Valley Arts Alliance’s rendition of a live radio broadcast from the golden age of radio, with skits, music and dance acts. The format of the show is similar to the popular “Prairie Home Companion” radio show on National Public Radio featuring Garrison Keillor.

“Alaska Home Companion” will feature interesting stories by Alaskans about the best, the worst and the silliest of everyday living in Alaska.

Tickets are $15 and are available at the door. A cash bar will be open during the event.

Valley Arts Alliance’s annual meeting is at 2 p.m., Oct. 21.
