PALMER — Alaska Department of Fish and Game, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Wasilla Soil and Water Conservation District have organized a free workshop Nov. 10 to gather information from all-terrain and off-road vehicle users about motorized trail stream crossings and habitat protection, low water crossing designs and mapping favorite trails.
Information on ATV safety, crossing permits, salmon rearing areas, restoration examples, Swiftwater Creek Trail project and a panel presentation also is included.
Input is encouraged from all-terrain and off-road vehicle trail riders, clubs, outdoor recreation users, public and non-profit agencies, dealers and suppliers, students, and streambank and restora tion volunteers.
The meeting is from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 10 at Mat-Su College, Snodgrass Hall, off Trunk Road in Palmer. The workshop is free and lunch may be purchased in the Mat-Su College cafeteria.
