MAT-SU — Imagine it is a sunny day and instead of sitting at your desk working at the computer, you, your co-workers and friends are laughing, smelling the earth come alive from its long winter sleep, as you rake up debris. Now imagine that the work you are doing is benefiting one of the many Valley nonprofits that help so many in the community have a better quality life. You are a part of helping, and it feels so good.
You can have this experience May 16 during the Day of Caring. Local organizations, businesses, clubs and individuals will be coming together as they have annually for the last several years. This time with a goal of completing more than 50 requested projects.
This year due to the on-again, off-again spring, it has been decided that some projects may need to be completed on another day, but whenever it is convenient, the nonprofits will appreciate assistance.
