PALMER — People have until Dec. 31 to apply for the third session of the Alaska State Troopers Citizen Academy in the Mat-Su. This session will meet from 6 to 9:15 p.m., Tuesdays from Jan. 14, 2014, to April 15, 2014, at the Department of Corrections Training Academy, 515 E Dahlia Ave., Palmer. Citizen academies are designed to promote and enhance understanding and awareness of the role of the Alaska State Troopers within a community.
Advance registration is required for the academy. Applicants must be at least 18-years old and live in Alaska.
