WASILLA — Arctic Baby Bottoms is one of more than 200 sites that will take part in the second annual Great Cloth Diaper Change international at 8 a.m., April 21 at The Meta Rose Square, 290 N. Yenlo St.
The Great Cloth Diaper Change was organized two years ago to help the nonprofit Real Diaper Association show that cloth diapers are a real option for today’s families.
Since then, the event has morphed into a Guinness World Record-breaking event, and in 2011, more than 5,000 babies were changed simultaneously.
The combined sites are already on their way to attempt to break last year’s record of 5,026 cloth diapers changed simultaneously at 127 locations in five countries.
In Wasilla, there are 22 babies pre-registered, and organizers anticipate having at least 30 babies who will be “changed” at the event April 21.
