Ardyce E. Arnett

Our beautiful mother, Ardyce Elaine Arnett, was called home on January 28, 2023, at 86. Waiting her arrival, the love of her life, mother and father, Stanley and Irene Westlund, and sister Joyce Fosland, and many other family members, to welcome her home. "Ardy" raised three children, in God’s shadow, Renee DeFelice, Corky Champagne and Craig Clevenger. Her life’s passion was her faith, by reflecting Jesus in her daily walk. She gave of herself, her time and financial aid to the community and her church.

In her early years, Ardy put herself through college at the University of Minnesota, which took 7 years to complete a 4-year curriculum while raising children, as a single mother. After graduation as an Occupational Therapist, she gathered her littles, boarded a 3-day train to Phoenix, Arizona, and saw cactus for the first time. Her career helped many children and adults challenged with physical and intellectual disabilities. Through her compassion and artistry, she brought her work home, by designing and creating splints in her oven. Her passion showed through her work, especially to her own children.

In later years she developed her talent to become an accomplished artist in many different mediums. Blue ribbons donned many of her pieces. She loved teaching art classes, and sharing this gift with her many grandchildren.

Love blessed mom in many ways, in marriage to several war veterans and companionship with their extended families. In her last years, she knew a deep love, joy and spiritual fulfillment like never before. She is survived by her sister, Rosalie Anger; 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who love her deeply.
