Christmas Tree Recycling, CARRS in Palmer, 664 W. Evergreen, Palmer, Free Christmas Tree Recycling starts on December 28 to January 15 at all CARRS Stores in Palmer, Eagle River and Anchorage. Look for designated area in parking lots. Live trees only and no decorations, tree stands or wreathes, please. Sponsored by Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling, Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services and CARRS Safeway. Trees are chipped and donated for use on trails and gardens.

Mat-Su Valley Homeless Connect, Jan. 24, 10:00am - 3:00pm, Menard Sports Center, 1001 S. Clapp St., Wasilla, “One day. One Stop. One Community.” Providing homeless with access to a broad range of services, including health and wellness screenings, legal services, employment assistance, food, toiletries, and more.
