WASILLA — Artists of all ages are needed to support the fourth annual Brassieres to Nowhere Breast Cancer Awareness exhibit at the Dorothy G. Page Museum, 323 N. Main St.
Bra-inspired artwork created using mixed media, fiber arts, painting, photography and sculpture are invited. Non-cash jurors’ awards will be given in each category as well as a People’s Choice Award.
A $10 nonrefundable entry fee and completed entry form must accompany each piece. Entry fee is waived for students with valid ID. Artwork must be on display through the exhibit dates of Sept. 6 to Oct. 12. Entry forms and rules are available online at cityofwasilla.com/museum.
Artwork is due to the Dorothy G. Page Museum by 5 p.m., Sept. 5.
An artist reception is from 5 to 7 p.m., Oct. 9. Refreshments will be served and admission is free.
Artists also may choose to include their artwork in the annual Bra Auction on Oct. 12. Costumes and masks are encouraged. Prizes awarded to best mask and best costume. Event begins at 6 p.m. and auction starts at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the auction will go to a local breast cancer support group.
