Beach Boys added to state fair's concert series

American music icons the Beach Boys will bring their “Good Vibrations” and “Sounds of Summer” to the Alaska State Fair as the latest addition to the 2025 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series.

The band will perform Monday, August 25, at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. AKDT at alaskastatefair.org.

With over 100 million records sold worldwide, the Beach Boys are one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful bands of all time. Since the 1960s, the band has charted more than 80 songs internationally, including 36 of them in the U.S. Top 40 (the most by an American rock band), with four reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rolling Stone ranked the band’s "Pet Sounds" No. 2 on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and placed The Beach Boys at No. 12 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

The group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and was honored with The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award.

The Beach Boys join the previously announced lineup, which includes Medium Build on August 15, Rainbow Kitten Surprise on August 16, “Weird Al” Yankovic on August 17, Chris Tomlin on August 18, Warren Zeiders on August 21, Mastodon on August 22, Billy Currington on August 23, Wiz Khalifa on August 24, Sean Paul on August 28, Foreigner on August 30, and Dwight Yoakam on August 31.

Concert-goers can choose between concert-only tickets or tickets that include Fair admission. Included admission is discounted and valid only for the day of the concert. Tickets that include Fair admission must be purchased by August 14. Full ticket options and pricing details are available at alaskastatefair.org.
