WASILLA — Colorful characters marked the second annual 'Breastival' event at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center on Thursday, Oct. 29.
The event a breast cancer awareness and survivor celebration in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. This year’s even event was designed like a health fair, with education stations, prizes and promotional giveaways.Valley Radiation Therapy Center and the Alaska Cancer Care Alliance partnered with the hospital to produce the community education program, according to Alan Craft, Mat-Su Regional’s director of marketing and public relations.
“It’s a great event that features some very creative, imaginative games – all with the core message of driving home the importance of education and early detection,” Craft said. “We were thrilled that so many doctors and surgeons in our community wanted to participate in this event.”
