Calderon named Arctic Warrior of the Week

Congratulations to SrA Brenda Calderon with the 673d Dental Squadron, for being recognized as the Arctic Warrior of the Week!

SrA Calderon, a dental assistant, fulfilled a noncommissioned officer position by stepping up as shift lead, averting work stoppages and ensuring 4,500 instruments met all required critical sterilization before distribution for patient care.

Currently, she supports the Air Force Dental Readiness Assurance Program, performing dental exams and cleanings on a daily basis. Despite COVID-19 operation restrictions, her team executed 6,200 dental procedures.

Calderon was also hand selected to attend the Air Force Arctic Survival School and later participated in Exercise Arctic Eagle 2020.

The Arctic Warrior of the Week is an award highlighting JBER's top-performing Airmen.
