WCT has been rocking Alaska for years, bringing that upbeat, rockabilly style that has become synonymous with the band’s name. Whether it’s at your local pub or outdoor events like Friday Fling, this trio of seasoned musicians is sure to liven up the mood with selections from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s and more.
Through consistent performance in Alaska, H3 has become the premier Island Reggae band in the state, reminding fans of another place where the sun shines year-round and the fun never stops. H3 performs with up to eight members, guaranteeing a huge sound, like waves crashing on the North Shore of O’ahu.
Andy Mullen is a seasoned performer, playing many roles in several local groups, like the The Denali Cooks. His performances are engaging and fun, and if you haven’t heard his one-man version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” — can you even imagine a one-man version of that song? Mullen did just that.
Dr. Meggie Aube, Palmer’s own doctor of music, will bring together a group of her students for a percussive performance. Aube is known throughout the Mat-Su area as the preeminent professor of percussion, so this event is sure to please.
