Juster Hill Productions has announced that its documentary film “Alaska Far Away: The New Deal Pioneers of the Matanuska Colony” will be broadcast on public television stations across the nation this spring and summer.

“We are delighted that ‘Alaska Far Away’ will be reaching an even larger audience than it has so far, and look forward to bringing this story to every corner of our country,” filmmakers Paul Hill and Joan Juster say in a press release.

In Alaska, the film will be broadcast on KAKM in Anchorage and KUAC in Fairbanks later this spring, but exact dates and times have not been announced.

Fairgoers will remember Juster as the host in the Wineck Barn during the Alaska State Fair. For the past several years, she’s displayed an exhibit about the making of this documentary and the companion film “Where the River Matanuska Flows.”
