SUTTON — ConocoPhillips has donated $10,000 to support the Sutton Library/Community Resource Center project.
Friends of the Sutton Library said the donation will provide funding for the Community Living Room in the new facility — a bright, airy space for people to gather for social events and informal community gatherings.
“It’s going to be a lovely space, and we are proud ConocoPhillips is helping to create this area for our community,” said librarian Nancy Bertels.
Other major contributors include the Rasmuson Foundation, Mat-Su Health Foundation, BP Alaska, Usibelli Coal Mine Inc. and Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union.
